New Squat shoes better than 10mls of Test

How do these shoes help you with your squat? do they give more stability?

Much more stability which feels nice on the knee but the big thing is the heel shape. It really helps lift with more muscle. This is the first time I've ever had a real pair of shoes and I am mucho impressed.

There is a olympic lifting guy here in Winnipeg that carries them.
I saw them recommended on Rippetoe's site and then realized he was in the same town. I couldn't resist.

these shoes are good if you're doing a more traditional squat, fairly close feet ass past parallel. It's like putting the 10lb plates under your heels. Definately make an olympic squat much smoother.
Don't throw out the chucks though. They're good if you're going to squat wide, WPO powerlifting style, or for deadlifts.
I use the addidas weight lifting shoes and they're great.

Too bad they don't come in size 16 EE. I can not find weightlifting shoes that will fit me and its so frustrating.

I have the same blue swade shoes for oly lifts and front squats, but would never use them on a set of wide Pl style squats/box squats. Chuck's are good but really lack in any kind of support. I prefer indoor soccer shoes like Addias Samba's for squats, deads and any kind of strongman events (they're like a chuck with support).

These ones are superior to the addidas. I have them in black. Good for squatting deep, but I will take chucks any day.
The wood heel is super nice.
