right now i float between matrix, which is a blend of both whey and egg protien and casin protien as well. so there is both fast and slow digesting protiens
i also like EAS 100% whey as well.

I've been using Optimum. If you guys haven't tried the chocolate mint you're missing out!!! It's so good and the mint keeps it from getting monotonous. I just bought cookies 'n' cream as well because everyone kept saying it was awesome, but I don't like it!
Ok, so who wants it???? I've barely touched it:D :D :D

They ship from the states- probably not the best option for canadian orders.

I have thought about trying the matrix 5.0 as it is a decent price for a blend. Not sure exactly what percentages they use for their mix though, but I may pick up a 5 lb bag and give it a try.

Hey fergie have you ordered from them? Do they cover duty, taxes and what was the shipping cost. I do agree that their price for the isolate is amazing. The 44 labs of WPC is 139.99

No havent ordered yet but I'm thinking of it, the customs charge kinda scares me since its based on a percentage of the value and its not that low. I'll email them and ask them if the prices listed are +tax, duty, brokerage

Why purchase from the US and pay shipping, taxes and duty when you can purchase bulk WPI and WPC in 44lb bags right here in Canada direct from the manufacturer? Google \"Vitalus\"

Thats better if you ask me since I make smoothies with mine and the flavour usually drowns the fruit I put in out

Yes it is unflavoured because it is direct from the manufacturer. Just 100% pure protein powder like how I like it. Get creative like me and stir it into diet rootbeer with a spoon. I love how this stuff mixes!

Supplements canada has a good selection and good prices. I go to popeyes supplements and they always knock off like 40 bucks if you by a stack.
I'm on a muscletech stack right now. The Nitro-Tech hardcore is working pretty good and it tastes alright. When I've got no money I just make my shakes with a few whole eggs and skim milk with some chocolate syrup, tastes better than any store bought stuff IMO

well guys. If u like musclemilk or dorian products then u should order from adrenaline supplements, good guy behind that company.
as for the state of whey protein these days it isnt good. expect prices to go up, will only be slightly for big stores like popeyes, reflex, fuel. but u wont see super cheap anymore due to the economic conditions.
Whey Concentrate Protein Price Increase
The raw material cost for protein (whey proteins, caseinates, milk proteins) has been rising steadily over the past 6months, with a cumulative cost increase in 2006 of more than 20%. February costs rose even further by another 10%, and last month, they went up again by another 20%.And now again in June raw prices went up by 23% more. Forecasts from all raw material suppliers in North America, New Zealand/Australia and Europe are that prices show no signs of declining in the near future.
The cost increases are a result of worldwide market conditions:
1. Milk shortages caused by drought-like conditions in key milk producing regions in North America, New Zealand, Australia, and Europe, depleting supply of whey;
2. Reduction in volume of cheese manufacturing (whey protein is made from filtering liquids derived from cheese manufacturing)
3. Record prices being offered for dairy proteins by the agricultural feed industry.
4. Supplies of whey being further bought up by Europe and Asia, as their own supplies have been outstripped.
These 4 main factors result now in a shortage of all dairy proteins, including whey protein, and thus a rise in price from all suppliers around the world- just like other commodities such as milk, gasoline, or oil rise in price and the demand outstrips the supply. All this has lead to every raw material dairy and whey supplier in the world raising prices whether contracts were in place or not.
as for best tasting i just use PVL's whey maxx myself during day, there isolate after i train, and musclemilk before bed.

American bodybuilding has a great protein doesn't give me gas like other brands. At the moment i'm using PVL's whey protein, best chocolate flavoured protein IMO and the price isn't too bad either.

Axis labs "clutch" and American Bodbuilding "Pure Pro" are the best protein shakes imo.

i just talked to a sales rep at vitalus. a 15 kg bag of of inpro 90 (WPI) is $300CAD. that is what i paid for a 20kg bag a couple years ago. the whey depot sells 50lbs for $439CAD.
Shipping from vitalus was $33 and was less than a week delivery time from BC to SK. i would imagine the price has gone up as a result of increases in fuel prices. Shipping from the whey depot is free to my house.
so it looks like whey depot is cheaper at $8.78 per lb. and I would guess vitalus to be around $10+ per lb once shipping is factored in??
Question is, how good is the WPI from the whey depot? i would prob opt for natural flavor as i add my own.
