I am coming to the end of a bulking cycle and looking for advice on cutting. I know to loose weight you need to put yourself in a deficient calorie position. I know that in deficient your body can use both fat and muscle for fuel. What I am interested in finding out is how does the body decide whether it will deplete muscle or fat to fuel the body.

if your just comming off a bulker maybe wait a few months before cutting,
so your body can get used to the extra muscle mass, if you go to a cutting cycle right away you'll probably lose alot of your gains.

I'd agree with that. Keep your training heavy as possible and diet good - and try and maintain what you've been doing in the gym for at least a month before cutting..

You risk losing alot more of your gains if you jump right into a cutter, from what i've read.

#1 rookie mistake. but sooooo tempting. IMO dieting needs juice (so u can use T3). always dieted with juice. and from what i've read it's very very difficult to diet naturally as your test/thyroid levels go for a dump after a week or 2 of dieting.

Randy you have a script right? Just run a low dose of test with HCG while you diet and maybe some T3/Clen. Keep the diet the same and the training the same for 4 weeks and then try maybe cutting cals by 500-600 your daily requirement..

Try the KETO diet too, working great for me... then switch to 130BPM cardio ED w/ lower weight higher rep training.

Or if you don't like the KETO just do 50g carbs AM and 50g carbs PWO and that's IT! :)

I will keep plugging the Simon85/Palumbo diet, i'm loving it so far:

Meal 1 6 whole Omega-3 eggs

Meal 2 8oz chicken with 60g of walnuts

Meal 3 50g whey isolate with 2 tbs of PB

Meal 4 8oz of steak with 1 cup asparagus with 1 tablespoon of olive oil

Workout

Meal 5 50g whey isolate with 2 tbs of PB

Meal 6 6 whole Omega-3 eggs

*aspartame and sucralose are fine. EQUAL and SPLENDA are not because they contains maltodextrin.

Yep..I am on TRT. I was planning on simply reducing the amount of test used per week. I am doing 500mg\wk now so I will probably drop to 200mg\wk and add in the HCG. I have read a lot lately about the effectiveness of HCG in fat loss.

I`d agree with waiting for a while before dieting. When dieting I always eliminate things I can do easily without. If you`re mixing your protein in milk, use water. For a few weeks I`d cut carbs from the last meal, then for a few weeks the last 2 meals, then for a few weeks the last 3 meal. That`s all I ever needed to do. No cardio just meticulous nutrition with low Gi carbs when they`re consumed exept for after training. Then it`s like ground hog day...

This may differ than other opinions here... First off let me say I have nothing against steroids. Most even know me as being pro steroids. But the use of T3 I seriously think you can do without. With test and clen you should be able to get the job done. Although some say to use clen with steroids, I even think you can be successful with just clen. How cut are you looking to get?

I am carrying more fat than I would like to, 22%. I eventually want to get to about 10%bf and maintain there. I suspect however that I will do this in 2 stages as I do not want drop to much to fast and end up losing gains.

The nice thing right now is that as I am gaining it seems to be all muscle because as my weight is increasing my waist measurement is staying static.

The dangers of T3 use are overblown. As long as you don't use it for longer than 8weeks and pyramid up to 100mcg and down again you'll be fine. Plus you'll add muscle with the lower dosages as it improves protein turnover.

That could very well be true. The only experience I have with T3 is one from the armchair... Just always thought it would be best to leave T3 alone unless you compete, meaning you can get in very good shape without it, but of course it can speed up the process.

My thinking was just if we`re in october now Raging Randy has plenty of time to get ripped assume it`s for next summer. Wanted to add Ragin Randy has the right idea to loose it in steps. Either way it`s always a good learning experience.

Adequate protein intake and lifting weights should do a fine job of preserving lbm.
