Comfortably Numb , Pink Floyd both solos. Time by Pink Floyd .David Gilmour has the best vibrato in rock history. Honourable mention - Allen Collins in Freebird by Lynryd Skynryd , Jimmy Page on Stairway to Heaven ,Angus Young on You Shook me All Night Long ,Alex Lifeson on Working Man, SRV on Lovestruck Baby. Johnny Winter on Highway 61 Revisited .Too many to mention really but Gilmour takes it.

Thank you. I can't remember which guitar player said it but it was something along the lines of " Gilmour has never played a bad note in his life. He can make a ukalele sound like a strataverious(sp) " I happen to agree.

Fast Eddie Ckarke eh? I bet I had that album before anyone else here, lol. I always liked Eddie's riffs but never really thought about his solos. This is as good a pick as any Motorhead solo. The Chase Is Better Than The Catch has a good one too.

Motorhead rules, but the best solo comes from the best thrash song of all time.

Angel of Death by Slayer.

Too many to pick just one, but listen to Jeff Healeys inspired solo playing with Stevie Ray Vaughan.

R.I.P Jeff.

Here is another favorite. The best guitar dual :)

Gary Moore is quite the soulful guitarist, and BB King is awesome

And here is Gary by himself

I forgot to mention Red House by Hendrix. Here is an even better way of playing it. Gary Moore is simply ****ing amazing. I don't know how to embed this but open it up and you will be blown away. I'd like to see any of these chumps today play this half as good. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXYjEMTQRm0

And Gary Moore is absolutely the most emotive guitar player ever.
