Canadian bodybuilding forums missing members - flashbacks and where are they now?

Just thinking about all the years I've been online and all the members I've seen on the boards. Literally thousands. Sometimes I think about old members that are not around anymore and wonder what happened to them. I just wanted to make a thread dedicated to members who have left their name on the Canadian Bodybuilding Boards. Thinking of them sometimes brings a laugh or some good moments shared online.

Just off the top of my head right now
Under_construct or UC as most of us called him - good guy, good heart. Always helpful and intelligent. Miss his logical thinking at times and how professional he was when he helped me mod the sites.

Royy and Painly - Probably many of you don't know this duo but the old outstanding vets will probably remember. These two were the weirdest internet duo I have known. Made me laugh endlessly. Throw aX in that mix and you had just entered the twilght zone. They added a lot of slapstick humor to a board.

aX deserves a special mention. He still posts on MN now and then but he's not around as much. Once in awhile he'd come on the sites totally wasted and post some incoherent thread that you spend 10 minutes trying to understand what he's saying before you realise he drunk. Real good guy once you get to know him. Puts up a pic once of him standing naked showing his ass. Snapped that up and photochopped it before he deleted it. Had some weird guy grabbing his ass in the pic. Good times.

R-money. His original handle name eludes me right now. When I first met him, he was pretty young and kept butting heads with a few mods and vets. But hell of an entertainment. He posted a ton of pics of himself and I spent hours turning them into a gay themed pic with dildo's and anal lube spread around his room. That's how I passed my time in the early 00's late at night in the middle of winter.

If someone comes to mind, add them to this thread and we can dedicate it to them in case they ever drop by and read it. I'm sure they'll feel good to know they are remembered. Maybe one day one of our handle names will be in this thread or one similar :)

Aboot was the best. His info threads on steroids were top class. Never left my newbie questions un-answered.

UC was a true gentleman, always ready and willing to help. He was from Quebec and he wrote me one heck of an encouragement and heartfelt email one day because I was feeling really low. No matter the issue, he was there to back you up, like an older brother.


Kimpy! So sweet and naive :D I never figured out how she ended on a Canadian BBing board...But she was sweet as honey and the darling of most.


On the other side of the coin:

I remember there was a thread one time about pre-workout performance enhancers. People were saying things like "NO2", "creatine" and "ephedrine".

I came on the boards in late 05 or early 06, back when MN was booming, lots of traffic in the training section, Aboot as the master of the AAS section and Brown Devil whoring up the off topic. Great mods as far as I'm concerned in Aboot, Doc M, Bloodrage ,and Hammer was moddding back then as well i think.

A few people that I got a kick out of, Houseman, love him or hate him the guy was passionate about training. Carl for his knowledge on training as well. Jeanybean was cool as well. Lots of good folks from Nexus over the years.

sphinx is from my area, he was in the paper years ago for having x or x related chemicals (precursors) at a school yard. he is a pretty young guy, his days on MN he was like 18 years old.

AFAIK Dalton is working for the gov, but not as a cop, and for what its worth he was a uniform on regular patrol not a narc. Roy and Painly were probably 2 of the funniest regulars and there was another guy who drifted over from CJM who had some real ****ed up posts. Victorian Man ring a bell? Also Diandybol trained with another guy who was old school but jhis name slips me. I agree, but the this problem will be with us as long as AAS are illigal. Take a look at the resent bust's, just about everyone of them were also dealing in drugs. It's the nature of the beast, make any product illigal and it go's under ground where the criminal element are quick to see an oppertunity.

If i was to pick the one person whos posts i miss reading from a technical standpoint it would be Lunkhead. From a purely comedic standpoint Carl vs. Flexy. From a parental you shouldn't be doing that stadnpoint QOD and PS.

Lunkhead was my saviour when I had heart problems 5 years ago. Just yesterday I found the transcripts of our conversations. What a smart, helpful guy.

Flex and Carl are both good friends and, as a friend, I feel it is my obligation to instigate things at every opportunity.

QOD and PS... these two, along with BigAk, gave me my first real internet brawl. The good times we shared butting heads. My g/f at the time(whom the fight started over) used to give me shit for being stuck in front of the computer for hours on end. All in all, a couple of good hearted people when you really get to know them.

I agree, i didn't always agree with them however i do believe they always had the relative newcomers best interests at heart. I still laugh at the posts when someone would bring up DNP, i swear they where just waiting to lock them threads down.......lol

Just making a point of thinking of the people who have helped shape the Cdn Forums over the years makes me appreciate how lucky we are to have had such great people leading the way. I don't think the people getting in now could begin to realize how much of this information they are reading about now has been discussed and refined time after time over the years.

To all those still around, and who are no longer active but have been a positive influence in the past i say THANK YOU.

I want an Iron Maiden Strat with a Seymour Duncan or Dimarzio SD in the bridge spot. Might just order the Dimarzio now and out it in myself when he sells it to me. On the good side my Hiwatt-Marshall combo blew his little Fender out of the room on 4.

Good to hear from ya Neme.Haha! think about it, it was for the crue tribute so it was the same axe mick mars used on the shout at the devil tour, a black LP, wasnt my axe i borrowed from a student of mine just for that show but damn good memory as my main axe is a white sambora signature strat which is what you want it sounds like, humbucker instead of single coil at the bridge so you dont get all that noise with high gain that is normal with all strats. I dont use those marshalls that were in the photos anymore, matter of fact they were just props at that show i was running a mesa boogie dual rectifier that was mic'ed into the p.a. off to the side of the stage , its truly the rolls royce of amps try a mesa and you will never go back to marshalls, the marshall's take too much dicking with to get really good tone and need to be ****ed with every gig if its in a different club i got sick of all the time i had to spend dialing them, the mesa sounds great all of the time in any room its in without a two hour sound check just to get a decent dirty tone outta the amp then another two hours for a clean tone, **** marshalls! :)

I shoulda figured the LP was black. I thought white like RR's aged white-yellow LP. My cab is Marshall but my head is a Hiwatt 50. Killer tone. I can'tr afford a Mesa Boogie right now and I've never played through one but I'd like to try one out. I've never heard a bad Marshall sound to tell you the truth but my experienec is limited compared to yours. I gott aget my Laney fixed sometime.
I just hate Bon Jovi so much i couldn't own a Sambora model. Maybe a Dave Murray model or just put my own PUPs in there. I'll let you know how it goes.
