ghost keylogger is ok but detectable

if you want to be untraceable with software, get the piece that goes between the keyboard connection and computer.

I had a keylogger on my computer and this puppy removed it along with some other things that three other spyware programs could not remove. A friend of mine does tech support for a large computer company and they use this also.

gustavo, I think you mis-understood. He wants to install a keylogger, not remove it :D

megwell, do you have physical access to the computer? how much of a computer literate is the person that will be using the computer?

Do they have an anti-virus? if so, most likely it will be detected.

If you have physical access to the machine, your best best is the hardware keystroke sniffer. You can find them on eBay.

There used to be a couple of decent ones on places like download.com [keep in mind it's shareware though and the potential problems that can represent]. I think there was one or two that would only come up on the task manager, so unless the person knows what to look for...? Things may have changed with the anti-spyware that most computers hold nowadays. Probably a lot better at detecting stuff like that.

Depending on the AV. Kaspersky flags it as being a spyware.

I know I could get one of those things that plug onto keyboard wire but I think it would be too noticsble. That's y I was thinking of a good free program which is easy for me to install

megwell, do they have an AV? if so, it will be very hard to run the program. Most of the good AV can easily detect keylogers due to the way they hook on to the win32 API.

The other option would be to configure the anti-virus itself (usually by putting the said program in an exclusion zone) to ignore the threat and not notify the user.

If they don't have an AV, then any decent keylogger would do the job. Stealth Keylogger is a good one.
