I can see where he's coming from, hes only got a couple really worth while fights at middleweight in the UFC and I'm sure he doesnt want to go down the same road as cro cop, matt hughes, chuck liddell(unfortunate but true)

his next fight is with Cote...Cote is going to get his ass kicked like never before..Cote isnt even close to Silva's level....

Spider's already 33 years old, and he's had 26 pro fights, working all over the world for promotions like Mecca, Cage Rage, Shooto and PRIDE before coming to the UFC. I can see him wanting to get out before he hits 35. And, really, what has he got left to prove?

Of course, he could be that rare, Couture-style exception, excelling as a fighter and a champion well into his 40s.

I don't know about getting destroyed by Silva...It would be one of the greatest fights but I c weakness in Silva on the ground...GSP is ****ING awsome on the mat ...
