The main reason a black hole is called a black hole and not a white hole or a pink hole is because the gravitational force it exerts along it's event horizon is strong enough to absorb even light. And we all know that any absence of light entails an absence of color as well...and if you have no color, well, then by etymological definition that is called 'black'.

And the bald fellow at the table who was demanding an apology, if I'm not mistaken, was said by the reporter to be a judge??? Wow, you'd think you'd need a little education for that.

I can kind of see the two black men's cultural point of view, in that anything labeled 'black' as being bad but this is going waaaay too far. Sad thing is, even if they were shown their error or by reviewing the tape and realizing it was probably an innocent comment, they still wouldn't apologize because they'd believe it to be some kind of personal attack.

This reminds me of the incident a while ago where I believe a mayor was giving a speech and used the word "niggardly" [and in the proper context] but the backlash as you can imagine was severe to say the least.
