View Full Version : What is the Difference between a Nitric Oxide and a pre-workout creatine??

Hey guys.
i just drop 40lbs to reach my goal weight (185lbs) and i'm now i want to gain some muscle mass. I've heard about nitric oxode and pre-workout creatines like superpump 250. What is the differences between the two and which one should i try?

They both ussualy go hand in hand. NO2 + creatine products include superump, Noexplode etc.

Pure NO2 is things such as nitrix ---> basically just arginine .... Arginine is great for pumps and cardio, but nothing else IMO.

I wouldn`t think that taking just no2 would help you gain any mass. Creatine will. Something like superpump combines different forms of arginines, creatines and neurotransmiters. Get the american version. I used no shotgun by vpx and it worked very well.

no-xplode is one of the most well known pre workout products out there bro.. its got tons of stimulants though so if you dont like stims dont take it other than that i like it and use it when i get it for free

something with beta-alanine will help your endurance , same with creatine , arginine ( the NO) will give you pumps and just push more blood to the muscles meaning more nutrients... otherwise **** supplements and just be consistent brother and eat a good diet high in arginine and save the 90 bucks

I tried the NoXplode for a couple weeks.. had to stop. It caused low blood pressure. I was getting really bad headaches, got dizzy and nauseous. And that was with 1/2 the recommended dose.

Now I just have green tea/creatine in grape juice pre-workout.

Hey i just got my no shotgun and i love this stuff!!! I get such a crazy pump on it but it's the new NO-shotgun V.3 not the old one.

lol, surprisingly, yeah... but I don't drink it for pump.. just drink it cuz I'm tired (caffeine) and like to have creatine pre-workout (for better sets, less fatigue in muscles)...

What's in the NO Shotgun mix?

I don`t know, I used the original formula which everyone complained about the taste. I didn`t find it bad at all. In fact I would add extra creatine ethyl ester, arginine ethyl ester to it. I admit the extra creatine made it taste bad. I gave a sample of this twice to a friend of mind and he threw up each time. The trick is to take a sip, shake it and repeat util it`s done, if you don`t the nasty ingredients all settle in the bottom making the last sips taste like toxid waste.

Do you feel weighed down at all with the protein taking that before a workout? I always thought it was best to not have protein before a workout..

The other ingredients look solid.. though I wish there were more companies using alternative sweeteners and natural flavours. Not a fan of the fake stuff.

I would take no shotgun at least 1 hour after having eaten and takes 40 mins to kick in full effect. (Usually train 2 hours after last meal) Never drank it during a workout. Always drink 70 grams of gatorade with 10-20 grams of bcaa during training. Some may say that`s too much carbs and bcaa but it really worked for me and my lower stomach looked leaner. I guess some of the fat burning ingredients in no shotgun helped as well... Never had a bad workout while using it.
