Yes if they subpeona the host. That is why all boards say never put sensitive data in a pm. Delete your inbox pm's and sent folder pm's if you are uncomfortable with something in there.

That hushmail handed over emails and it was read by LE. Encryption means nothing if LE can subpeona the host. Stay away from every email system in Canada and the US.

Yes. But it is confirmed that hushmail handed over emails to LE and they were abel to read them. The encryption was bypassed. It's how a lot of the US labs got busted. Drop hushmail and cyber asap.

Fack, after reading that it is definately not worth selling gear. I think UGL will be shutting down very quickly now and cleaning house. It would only be logical that LE here is doing the same. Thank God the canadian sites don't open source or condone sourcing on the sites.

i also think UG's are going to have a tough time. Some couldnt' log onto hushmail account for couple days and he's shitting now. Times are just getting tough.. i dont' trust hushmails/cyber

I second that. If you have a hush or cyber account. Delete all emails in your inbox and sent folder and let the email account die. It takes 3 weeks for those accounts to lockdown. Then never go to hushmail or cyber-rights again.

It may seem like a pain, but i would recommend changing emails every 2-3 weeks. I believe LE would have to get a subpoena for each email addy requested correct? They couldn't just walk in and say we want everything on everyone without any reasoning, at least not in canada "sans patriot act".

So assuming it would take at least a couple weeks to gather enough evidence to subpoena an email addy, by changing and deleting everything in old acccounts every couple weeks, they should never be able to gain access to an active account with any emails in it.

Of course, simpliest thing is if you have done nothing illegal, just use whatever email system you want. Personally, I don't care what email system I use. I am still on hotmail...lol. But at least if I were to use encrypted email for privacy, I would use one that remains 100% private. Not anything in Canada or the US.
