Well, they did it again.
Google just released what is, IMHO, the best browser to date. These guys understand the web like no other company does.
On the tests I did, the javascript engine is even faster than the fastest Safari one, and they use webkit for the rendering as well, so they have a pretty good compliancy.
They also use separate processes for the views and components, and they use a sandbox approach for webpage, which makes it quite a bit harder for a rogue website to hack your computer.
So extremely fast, VERY secure, crash prone and crash recovery, lightweight...Today is a day of rejoice my friends :)

Any skins available for this thing yet? Cant stand the fruity blue...

bye bye firefox??
Well, not quite yet because Chrome is still in beta and as such, some sites might not work properly, and it is lacking a few options like print preview...but give it a few months and yes, it is definitely going to be, IMHO, THE browser to beat.
It is amazing how a browser who's development started merely a year ago (and used a lot of open source components) is going to render obsolete browsers that have been on the market for over 12 years.
Google, the next thing...world domination :)

bye bye firefox??BB
I have been exclusive to firefox over the last few years myself....proxi secured, speed, dependability, fun easy stuff.
I have looked at the CHROME software...when it came out a little while back and I have to say that I am impressed with the little perks it has to offer...aside from some of its key and crucial elements such as security, anymousity.....
I will probably make the switch over, once I feel ready.

Chrome is pretty sweet.
However, as stated there are quite a few web applications that struggle on it. A couple I use at work can't function with it properly. For those I have to use firefox.
I tried chrome a while back and it didnt work right with some sites so I went back to Internet explorer.
Even firefox acts goofy wih some sites.

I am a firefox user. I find it much smoother than IE7.
Anyone using IE8 Beta? Any feedback on it?
Ie8 has the private security browsing like chrome.. and is more stable from what I can tell so far.

I love chrome and have been using it for a few months.
I honestly can't stand firefox anymore; it takes 10X as long as chrome to boot up and it always has to install updates for all the add-on and then restart. And without the add-ons firefox is really nothing special.
