LG Sciences Presents:
Lipotropic Protein
Aspartame Free!

Lipotropic Protein contains Gemma, a new kind of protein. Gemma protein is a high quality protein extract that has some serious benefits. First, it is extremely high in the prime muscle building components of protein, specifically the essential amino acids Leucine, Isoleucine and Valine, often called the branched chain amino acids. These anabolic muscle builders are the most important part of the protein for building muscle! Gemma protein is also rich in Glutamine and glutamine precursors, which are also very important for building muscle and increasing recovery. These two groups of amino acids make Gemma protein superior to whey and casein proteins for increasing muscle mass and the fat loss benefits of the polyphenols make this protein good for building mass and losing body fat.

If you want a great protein for increasing lean muscle and burning fat, look no further than Lipotropic Protein from L-Gear. It has the perfect nutrient profile for the serious bodybuilder that is looking to lose fat while gaining muscle.

Age: 42

Sex: M

Height: 5'9"

Weight: 262 lbs

Bodytype: Endo-Meso

Training experience (as much detail as possible.. TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF ! ! WHY should we choose you ! !): I've been lifting weights seriously since I was 16. I was a player/coach in the Czech Association of American Football until I was 37. I have experience as a pro wrestler (anyone remember Al Tomko's All Star Wrestling?) After returning to Canada from Europe, I kept lifting weights, but let my diet get right out of control (After years away from delivery pizza, chicken wings, and all-you-can-eat Chinese food, I went kind of nuts). Without the extra activity of training for football, I put on a ton of weight very quickly. This sent me into a kind of downward spiral, as my body started turning on me: Producing too much estrogen, so that I kept adding fat. Developing gout. Hurting my back. Passing kidney stones. Wrecking my knees. None of that helped the situation much.

I ballooned up to damn near 300 pounds. I could still do my job, and my girlfriend, a beautiful Japanese-born nurse, still loved me... so I had no great motivation to change.

I crossed that 300-pound barrier, but still I didn't make any changes.

What finally tipped it? I got married. We got a new family doctor. He sat me down and told me what would happen if I didn't make some serious changes. I took a good look at myself, and didn't like what I saw.

I picked up one of Mark Verstegen's training books, and started to work mobility and core strength training into my routine. I did some research, and decided to start following Dr. John Berardi's diet advice. I added a little swimming and hill-walking to my weekly routine. The weight started to come off, slowly but steadily.

Our doctor ran some tests. My blood profiles were getting a bit better... but my testosterone was low. He put me on 100 mg/week of test cyp. I added greens powder and fish oil to my diet.

My desire to train got even stronger. My back started to heal. I got off the gout medication.

I got stronger. I added muscle. I kept dropping fat.

Current Training Schedule / Protocol (as much detail as possible):

3 times per week, whole body.

Tues/Thu/Sat:

Various Lunges and Squats, either body weight (If I'm doing dead-lifts or cleans), or holding dumbbells (If I'm not).

Various planks, holding up to 30 seconds.

Push-ups with feet elevated: 3-4 sets of 20-15 reps

Deadlifts 3-4 sets of 12-8 reps and Dumbbell presses 3-4 sets of 15-6 reps
or
Cleans: 3-4 sets of 12-8 reps
or
Smith Machine Military presses superset with overhead shrugs: 3-4 sets of 20-12 reps

Close-grip bench presses: 2-3 sets of 20-15 or 8-6 reps

Cable rows: 2 sets of 15-12 reps
Cable pulldowns: 2 sets of 15-12 reps

Dumbbell curls 2-3 sets of 12-8 reps

Cardio Schedule/Protocol (as much detail as possible): Swimming after weights: 300 m or so depending on mood.
Walking in the hills around my home: 45-90 mins 2-3 times/week.

Current supplements (exact brand/product name):
Fish Oil: Exact brand 6-8 g/day
Greens Powder: Exact 1 or 2 tbs/day
Cold Milled Flax Seed: Webber Naturals 1-2 tbs/day
Creatine Monohydrate: Equate 5g/day
Dymatize Elite 12-hour: 1-4 scoops/day
ON Whey: 1-4 scoops/day
Kaizen Ephedrine: 24 g (w/ caffeine and aspirin) when I need a boost

Current Diet and macros (as much detail as possible):

I generally follow Dr. John Berardi's basic principles: I eat 5+ time a day, get some clean protein and some fruits or veg at every feeding, take in plenty of good fats, and tend to reserve starchy carbs for breakfast and my post-workout meal. It breaks down to 2400-2600 cals/day, around 200 g protein, less than 100g carbs, 20+ g fibre, and fats split pretty evenly between saturated, mono, and polyunsaturated.

Typical day's eating:

Steel cut oats w/yogurt and blueberries for breakfast.

Green tea.

Protein shake with greens powder and flax.

4-6 Omega 3 eggs with vegetables cooked in olive oil.

Big salad with walnuts, chicken breasts, and avocado. Olive oil and balsamic vinegar dressing.

Plain burger (extra lean ground beef, grilled) with cottage cheese and salsa

Protein shake with berries

Current Daily water intake: 4-6 litres.

Short Term Goal: Lose fat while maintaining muscle.

Long Term Goal: Be huge, lean, fit, and healthy.

ANY and ALL Prescription / Non-Prescription / Recreational drugs:
Sandoz test cyp: 100 mg/week (if my blood work comes out the way I want it to, I'll ask the doc to up the dose to 100 mg every 5 days).
Flonase (Fluticasone propionate), as needed.
Cialis (tadalafil), from time to time.

Supplement history (as much detail as possible):
Recently, I haven't used any supps other than protein, creatine, and ECA. In the 80s, I tried stuff like smilax, dessicated liver, and brewer's yeast.

Other product reviews / logs you have done (with links):
This will be my first, if I am chosen.

(How much protein are we talking here, by the way, seanf76? Are we talking enough for me to try a protein-sparing mucle fast like the Velocity Diet? I'd do it!)

Why do you have to make a log entry every day? It would be pretty difficult to notice changes on a daily basis from a protein supplement.

Great! I'm genuinely excited about this. I've always felt that keeping a log would be a great way to keep my motivation high.

That diet looks pretty good, not too far removed from what I've been doing... I don't know if my brain can tolerate a no-carb regime, though. As you've suggested, I'll mix some fruit and veg in with that, see how it goes. I like that there are lots of good fats there. Adding healthy fats to my diet really seems to have made a huge difference in my overall health.

Should I just start a new thread in this section for the log?

5lbs is around 70 servings that is atleast 2 servings a day so unless you are just getting all your protein from powder than 5 lbs should last you a month

With added fats that should help with the energy, however the total calories in this diet are pretty low imo. I would at least include carbs post workout, but that's me.

Congrats Gordi, this is a really cool opportunity!
