I have been on the ketogenic diet for a while now and I am looking to drop more weight. Not for any fantasies of a beach ready body but strictly to help me get through the work day without feeling like hammered shit. I currently do 30 minutes a day of moderate intensity on the stationary bike. I still need to drop 80 pounds and I am willing to put the work in. Cheers.

If you are dropping 2lbs approx per week then that is about perfect. If you are not dropping you need more cardio. The right amount of cardio is the least amount necessary in order to drop approx 2lbs per week. Cardio will normally need to be increased over time becasue the body will adapt to the amount so it must be increased.

I am between 10 to 12 lbs a month. My job has me constantly walking. I was hoping that by adding some additional cardio on the weekends might increase fat loss and spare some muscle loss by adding additional days as opposed to duration. Thank you as always for your quick reply. Cheers

Your body has adapted to the walking you do at work long ago...otherwise you wouldnt have to worry about dieting you would be shredded. Cardio should be added say three days per week for 20min then when that stops working do 6 days per week for 20min, then do 7 days per week for 30 min , 40min, 50min....etc

I will do 10 minutes prior to lifting then 20 minutes after. I will go trail riding on the weekends. I am thinking of a pre workout as well. Thank you as always.

Cardio should never be done before training that is counter productive.

The 10 minutes I do prior is just a warm up. I don't start the cardio til after my workout. Without a doubt the worst part of my workout. FML. Cheers.
