Anyone know a good place to get Cissus or Cissus RX in Canada?? I have been using glucosamine, chondroitan and MSM for my shoulders and it seems to have helped but lately my elbows are killing me and those supps aren't dong shit. I need to try something else (can;t be poppin' Ibuprofin every freaking day) and i have heard good things about cissus. Thanks.

You can get the bulk cissus powder from
clicshop.com/Stores/lifeandsport/c273876p16853383.2.html

Or USP Labs Super Cissus from the same place.
clicshop.com/Stores/lifeandsport/c315820.2.html]

USP Labs claims that their Super Cissus is top quality but when I got mine from Nutraplanet and opened up the caps it contained the same brown powder as the bulk.

Yup 3-6 grams daily with juice or cap em. Don't bother with the USP Labs product since you'll be paying more but for the same generic cissus.

I always order from bulksupplements.ca but it's a pain in the ass. Either they are out of stock or short or something even though site says it's there. The price is good there though. You're right about the taste, I just scoop 5 or grams in my mouth and chase it down with water and get it done quick.

I mix 2g into a chocolate protein shake with milk and don't notice the cissus at all. I have two a day and since starting it has helped with elbow and forearm pain I had been having.

*edit: sorry for the bump, just noticed the date...

may be of interest... 2 friends of mine swear by a product (which after hearing about it i have noticed in a few vitamin/health stores) called Recovery. made by purica.

they swear it has helped with chronic shoulder and elbow pain, im considering giving it a whirl for some back issues

Keep in mind the literature for cissus supports it in a scenario where a fracture is present not general joint health despite what the marketing claims. This is likely because of it's proestrogenic properties. I would look in to Celadrin or SAMe.

Interesting. What dosage of SAMe do you recommend for joint health?

I personally took the "recovery" stuff and i cant say it worked all that much better for me than glucosamine and chondroitin. I was also using it for chronic elbow pain that i still have...think im gonna have to order some cissus

I've seen it recommended on the higher end as much as 400mg 3 times daily

I remember when reports of SAMe were coming to the public it was more touted as a successful anti-alcoholism protocol in Germany and of course good for joints. I was curious and started to source avaliabilty and found that quality SAMe was difficult to find because it was temperature sensitive and shipping procedures would make it cost prohibitive. A while later I just randomly saw it at a health store and scratched my head and of course bought some. I experienced no noticeable joint releif but that was just me.

The only noticaeable releif I have received has been from cissus.
