Hi new to the forum and hoping on getting a little help from anyone living in the above area. Just found out I will be moving to Ottawa in less than 2 months as my wife has been transfered within the federal gov't. I currently reside in Edmonton AB and have been a fixture and my current gym for years. My concern is that when I move, I will not be able to find a facility that matches up to the place I go to now. A brief glimpse through the web shows several gyms that I certainly don't think stack up when it comes to my needs. My current gym, is about 13,000 square ft. is full of Hammer Strength, Apex, lifecycle and various other equipment, has a full range of good old fashioned iron dumbells up to 160 lbs, with dulpicats in the most commonly used sizes. They have tons upon tons of plates and scrapping up 24 - 30 45's for leg press is no trouble at all. It is busy but you never have to wait for anything as there are always plenty of benches, and cable machines of various types. I guess my concern is when I move to Ottawa there will not be a gym that even comes close the facility I train at now. Believe it or not this really worries me! I by no means look anywhere like a pro, but I love my heavy free-weights! We are planning on living on the east or south side areas of Ottawa ( Orleans, Hunt Club?) and I'm wondering what information other members can tell me about gym's in the local area. Your help is very much appreciated!
