Compounds that let you keep "gains"

First off, I know that it depends on a great PCT, but I have heard some people say that certain compounds like anavar and resulted gains can be marginally kept after coming off. I would appreciate any feedback on certain compounds, whether it be solid or anecdotal.

Anavar is an aas if you are using it during PCT you arent on PCT and you will still need to go off it and do proper PCT as it does suppress HPTA function.

What helps retain gains is "proper" PCT not just any lackluster form of PCT.
