Great vid!
I did raise an eye brow when he snickered at counting the macro's. I've hired a trainer this past year to help me get to the next level, I'm in the middle of a 10 month clean bulk and its all about the macro's. For me I wouldn't eat enough unless I counted macro's, it forces me to eat even though im not hungry yet, winging it like I did in the past had me under eating by a lot. But than I do function better under structure so maybe its a personality thing.

If you want to excel then you need a plan. Winging it will most likely lead to failure. If you want to get big you need to eat big...most have no idea what that means.

The way Lee looks in his 'off-season', I wouldn't pay much attention to what he has to say about diet. He gets pretty big and sloppy.

Whether he gets sloppy in the off season or not is really irrelevant as he has proven he can get in shape if he wants to.

It's not irrelevant if he's making a joke of keeping track of your nutrients and he's 60lbs over weight. True, he does know how to dial it in when he diets but most guys want to look in good shape year round.

Looks like he is blessed with superior genetics and can get away being sloppier and allow himself to be over weight without a problem.

100% true, I've seen Lee over 260lbs in the off season and he looks like a ball...he does like to eat and can overeat however this is his choice and he is not pretending to diet and stay lean in the off season. If he decided to do that he could as seen in the above video he is off season and relatively good shape. I don't want to burst anyone's bubble but the fact is most pros are not in shape year round and can get pretty sloppy. However when they choose to get in contest shape they can...and yes great genetics certainly makes that easier.

Lee has been apparently very close to 300 in the past.

I hate this turd more than anyone in pro bodybuilding and that says a lot when you have guys like Kamali and a host of other douche bags. But I do respect his opinions and you can't argue with his track record. Might be the best midget in bodybuilding history. Gotta eat a shitload of food if u wanna get big. Still, cruising at 260 + lbs when you are 5 foot three or four is gonna kill you way before it's time to go. Kovacs was 6ft2 and 400 for most of the year and his heart couldn't handle it. Lee is about a foot shorter and generally these guys carry and extra 10 lbs of solid muscle per inch of height so Lee would likely be 380 ish at Kovac's height. Just sayin'.

I respect Lee's views, at least he is honest. He may not always be right but he practices what he preaches. I don't know who the hell came up with this 45 minute window anyway. Was it Mike Mentzer with the high intensity training or was it a bastardization of Dorian Yates training philosophy? I know genetic have all to do with it but can you imagine how guys like Arnold and Franco used to over train. I read Arnolds new biography and he claims that he would train 5 hours a day, work full time in construction and go to school. Regardless, he would be small at a 225-250 contest weight compared to most of the new IFBB pro's but there are also other variable that would help new age body builders get past that weight.

Padilla - The Giant Killer was awesome but 250 ? It really has little to do whether or not the weight is fat or LBM - it's all hard on the heart when you carry that much weight.

I cant post pics on this PC but you should post one of Padilla. IMO he was better than Lee Priest. Less beef but better symmetry and I'll take that any day over sheer mass.
