I would like to share with you guys an experience that will help you with body building. I used to go to the gym and lift weights and thought that was enough. That is not until I tried to spice things with a mix of other sports. I tried Karate, Self-Defense courses, and boxing. The most effective sport that I have chosen is actually Boxing! The reason for that being is because this sport produces potent sweat that allows your body to grow a substantially larger amount of muscle. This sport literally makes you move every muscle in your body that allows you to back up your body building at the gym.

Personally, I like to train at Golden Gloves Fitness. It is a boxing-exercise gym that is located just north of Toronto. After lifting weights in the morning, I go to this gym at night to reinforce my muscle building I have done earlier the day. This gym is open to the public, so do not hesitate to inquire or come by. There are many great boxers that you can spar with and a well skilled Head Coach by the name of Alexander Berman, who is more than happy to instruct you on how to optimize your muscle potential in the ring. I boxed for 2 years while training powerlifting and loved it but not so good for maintaining or gaining size due to the calories you use while training.

I was thinking the same thing, tex. Boxing is great for fitness, you don't see too many out of shape boxers, try not to think of Butterbean, but for putting on thick muscle, not so much. I trained in Kick Boxing for 3 years and my shoulders were always too tired to bench press at my maximal strength.

Boxing will be very detrimental if you are looking to be a competitive bodybuilder. If you dont really care too much about building much muscle then its great workout but dont confuse the two...they are not complimentary.

I always felt that the upper pecs were made for velocity.

The couple years I boxed my delts grew immensely it could of been an illusion of me leaning out and becoming defined making my delts look big, but all my other muscles shrank down in size. My once powerful legs became mere toothpicks lol.
