Girondas slow up and down one foot at a time was the surest method I ever used....just takes a lot of time it seems.

Check out ballet dancers...they all have great calves and never did a weights calf raise in their life.

Newly returning after 3 year hiatus and catching up.
Interesting post and one of the first which references calve symmetry with neck and biceps.
I have always believed calf work focus stays on the gastrocs and many stop with seated calf to activate the soleus.
I started doing toes-pointed legs curls with machine and DB pinched between toes years ago and my calves blew up.., well maybe just became proportionate to my neck and biceps, lol.
