Hey CB, just another term that I want to get clarified. What is muscle maturity? I haven't had that much time to do some snooping around but what I have seen on other forums is people saying that it is when your muscles and your hormones peak to the best that they can be. Once again, terrible sources but that is what others are saying... Also, I remember watching a documentary about Lou Ferrigno (the name of it escapes my memory at the moment) but I remember when he was up on stage one of his friends called him a 'late bloomer'. This was after he quit bodybuilding for a while and came back into the scene. But the point is, I've heard from others that you always look your best in your 30's?
It would be great if someone could clarify what muscle maturity is as I have absolutely no clue as to what it is.... :P Thank you!

Muscles that are full, dense, vascular and striated. It takes many years of intense training to build that type of grainy hard muscle...multiple times dieting for a contest, getting as lean as possible, building maximum mass, and thickness.
The difference can be seen in how a competitor looks in his first show compared to say 5-6 years later.

Oh interesting, so does it degenerate over time? Or if you keep doing things correctly can it stay dense, striated and full forever?

If you do everything correctly for the next decade you will hit your peak somewhere between 30-40....depends on the individual....then you will start a gradual decline....you aren't on top forever unless maybe you are a vampire.

Yeah, that does make sense. As the body starts to get weaker so should everything else, including your muscles. Interesting topic to know about though.. Thanks! And I do have really sharp canines... :D
