Louie talks about wide and narrow,and about how wide can improve narrow,but narrow can't really improve wide.He declares"The box squat is a leg curl".I notice the boxes they use usually have some give to them.

Narrow focuses on quads, wide focuses on posterior core...so its tough to improve posterior core if going narrow.

I've been doing a fair bit of narrow deep with a safety squat bar,alongside some wide.About two years ago I was doing some box squatting,but not as wide as he illustrates,it was more like a quad launch than a leg curl.Have to try these again.The wide is the true mass builder isn't it?Maybe not as wide as their competition stance,but wide.

Wider will definitely build more mass and thickness in the posterior core and strength of course.

I switch to wide stance a few months ago, really brought up my adductor/inner thigh area.
I find wide stance harder on my hips. a pair of briefs helped a lot.

Also the wider you go the more hip flexibility required.
