This guy is a freakin' moron. He gives a bad name and reputation to anyone that calls themselves a Christian. The idea of correction\evangelism\ect. in the Bible is because you have love for that person\people. This guy does it because he hates.

I'm a born again Christian and people like this make me sick.

But then again, so are the ones that hate on gays, scream at abortionists, and the like.

There's good reason why I gave up on churches, since they seem to push an agenda. Since Love is supposed to be the rule a Christian is to live by, seems kind of hypocritical that people like this exist.

I hope you are referring to Phelps and not me....:D
Don't give up on church. I am going through some issues at my church right now. I find it difficult to deal with people that think they have a monopoly on the truth. Like people, churches are not perfect.

Totally agree with you Terminator. Following the beliefs and morals of your religion is one thing and being a religion extremist is another. They are to narrowminded and cannot cope with the world evolving faster then their fundamental beliefs.

The problem is their beliefs are not fundamental. They are demented. They have nothing whatsoever to do with real Christianity. I really take exception to the misconception that beliefs such as this are fundamental to Christianity. The tactics they use have never been right nor condoned by Christians who truly love and care for their fellow human beings.

Muslims have their fanatics...
Jews have their fanatics...
Protestants have their fanatics...
Catholics have their fanatics...
It's religion, go figure.

Sorry if I offended you, I made a mistake and used the word "fundamental" but a better way of wording it would have been "their own misconstrued beliefs".

Still, my view is following any religion too strictly, without using rationality, is bad. Since, these were developed thousands of years ago and some of their teaching have no context in todays society.

Church, and the way it is supposed to be according to the New Testament would be a whole new thread in itself for me, and that's yet another reason why I don't believe in churches, but the Church. ;)

After all, churches are man's idea, and The Church is God's idea. ;)

But, one would have to have open eyes to see this. Took me about 25 years to finally see that one.

No offense taken. It is a common word in the media and such. I just believe it is misused.
