Was in the process of taking my license plate off...the one screw is starting to strip...but still may be salvageable....dunno....What do you do to get the screw off if it's stripped? Any secrets?

well.. perhaps you could get a flat head screwdriver under the lip of the screwhead and pry on it as you unscrew it with another screwdriver.

Mr. O you could try using a hammer to tap the screwdriver into the screw(getting better leverage) then try unscrewing it.Or what Bam said. Worst case scenario use a sawzall or grinder.Good luck man.

Canadian Tire (stop laughing) sells stripped-screw kits.

Easiest thing if you can still get access to the head of the screw is to take a small hacksaw and make a line across the head of the screw wide enough for a flat head screw driver to fit into. After that, simply unscrew as normal with the flat head.

Works fine, and easy to do. :)

When you finally get it off and you put it back on use stainless bolts\screws and you will not have this problem again.

I love the screw removers. Pain in the ass to drill small holes in the middle of those ****ers though. I normally just grab a big drill bit, drill the head of the screw off, take off whatever was behind the screw, then grab what's left with big vice grips and twist it out.
