Just curious what time of day everyone works out at. I currently workout after work (4:30 pm), but plan to change to mornings (6:00 am)
What is your reason for the time of day you work out.
Any advice for morning workouts.
thanks :)

Midnight usually. No girls to distract, and no goofs hogging all the equipment while they chit-chat. Get in, get out.

9pm. I either work 8-5 or 1-9. So instead of having a mixed up gym schedule I just train at 9pm all the time. Gym is normally fairly empty at that time too so it's a bonus.

6-7pm for similar reasons already stated. Need alot of my food in for my workouts, and the gym is relatively empty.
7am.....i think you need at least 1 good meal in you before working out......and this way I am fresh.....i have a physically demanding job...after work is not an option

Depends on work/school schedule, but right now after work around 5.
Used to train around 930 or 10am back when I worked nights and loved it because the only people in the gym are MILFs who have no use for heavy weights.

Usually some time between one and three in the afternoon. I've got a very flexible work schedule, so I can get away whenever I need to. The window between one and three works great because the lunch break crowd has gone back to work and the kids are still in school so the family crowd still hasn't shown up. Even in the summer, it's usually a pretty quiet time in the gym.

7 or 8 pm during the summer because the gym is empty then.
Winter time I get there at 9 9:30. I want to avoid having new members steeling my benches when I walk away for a drink.
NOTE...I have a happy faced towel I always leave on my benches or machines if I walk away.
Some retards push it aside...I do not forget.

cardio starts 815ish am (no food. im up around 8)
training usually starts 3-4ish (this gets 3 meals into me before training and time for a couple more afterwards.
I personally like to work out late (10ish-12ish at nite) but i try and avoid too many carbs near bed and i like to get carbs into me after a train so try and get in there in the afternoon
Ive read old schoolers beleived in training around 10am as natural hormone levels are highest then

5:45-6:00 am before work. Get too tired after work and I like the fact the gym is dead in the morning.

I wonder if training around that time makes a noticeable difference. I've started training around 10am-12pm and my energy levels are a lot higher than if I wait till the afternoon.

i'd rather have the benefit of having more food during the day before training than increased energy levels early in the morning with less food consumed... but then again i take stimulants before my workout so i don't have to worry about being lethargic after my 9-5

Between noon and 2. My office has a decent gym and hardly anyone uses it. It has a high-end cable machine, dumbells, and treadmills. I have not maxed out the potential of the cable unit but I can see at some point I will. Living in the boonies it is my only option unless I buy my own equipment.

What is the benefit of eating more food during the day prior to training? The only thing I've found to be important is what is eaten and the time period between eating and training.
This is assuming there was already adaquete rest, recovery and glycogen re-synthesis which should be the case.

I couldn't find anything about peak periods of testosterone production during the day. One article mentioned ejaculation decreasing testosterone levels, with optimum levels being reached and maintained 7 days after. Another talked about annual fluctuation in testosterone with the basis being a preferred time of year to concieve children. Another article discussed increased testosterone levels at night and in particular, during REM sleep. One article talked about testosterone production occuring in well-defined pulses.
Probably best to just workout whenever is most convenient.
i think (and i may be completley wrong) that by allowing your body to intake more food and nutrients doing the day it would provide more stored energy throughout your entire body...
now i dont know if this is scientifically possible, but it sure sounds good in my head.
also, i def agree with what you said about

but, somtimes that isnt the case right...

I always train in the evening, anywhere from 5-7pm. I have noticed when i train earlier in the day that i am not nearly as strong.

I train first thing in the morning. I would rather leave everything I have at the gym and drag my ass at my job. Aside from that there exists a feeling of knowing you've lifted 10 000 pounds before most of the world has had their morning piss.

How Do I Find Out If I Have a Testosterone Deficiency?
The only accurate way to detect the condition is to have your doctor measure the amount of testosterone in your blood. Because testosterone levels fluctuate throughout the day, several measurements will need to be taken to detect a deficiency. Doctors prefer, if possible, to test levels early in the morning since this is when testosterone levels are at their highest.

Late afternoon's/Evenings. Only time I get the energy to give it my all. If I do it in the first couple hours of my day I'm not as focused or psyched up for it, as well as not enough food in my body for it.

My schedule of choice would be from 9:30PM-11:00PM. Unfortunately, the gym I currently train at closes it's doors at 22:00, so I am now doing 08:30PM to 10:00PM.
The main reason being is, like most, less people at the gym, more focus on the training...and exercising that late helps me in getting a better sleep.

Best time for me is around 5-6 pm. Sometimes I'd do cardio early in the morning as well.
