Driving to Riviere-du-Loup

I have to go there for business and was thinking I might sight see for a few days.

Any recommendations as to what to see?

Should I go to the Gaspe Peninsula? or is reviere-du-loup pretty enough?

I was thinking of doing some rock climbing or sea kayaking.

I have never been past Montreal and down as far as Sherbrooke.

Maybe stop in Quebec city for a night?

I'm fairly excited as I've traveled many miles in every direction but east.

One of my clients has family in the maritimes, she drove down with her sister but now her sister wants to stay longer. The client hates driving in quebec and wanted us to drive down and pick her up at the NB border. We compensated and agreed that she would drive to riviere du loup.

As someone has to pick up her car and drive it back, I was thinking that my gf and I would drive down in a rental with another employee and send him back with her and we'd chill for a bit.

The QPP wont hassle ontario plates, will they?

My experiences with quebec police is they WILL harass ontario plates, especially if you give them a reason to.

Gaspe and Quebec city are all very beautiful. I would say if you're heading up too with your gf definately make sure to spend at least a full day and night in QC.

Hotels and bed and breakfasts are a bit expensif there so there are many really nice motels outside of the city for very reasonable price.
