Aleksander did not receive medical clearance to fight so the Aleksander Emelianenko vs Paul Buentello bout have be removed from the event unless there is later approval.

All of the other fighters made weight for the Affliction: Banned event.

Damn that sucks. I was looking so forward to this fight. Even worst is that if the rumor is true, it'll end his career :(

I don't see Tim going anywhere now.

Fedor is the king of MMA. Even if he eventually loses, who can say they haven't lost an MMA fight in 8 years and fought quite a few times? He also has fought very formidable opponents.

And technically, he never really lost that match. Incredible fighter.

Hopefully he makes a full recovery and is immune to it afterwards. I'd love to see him fight again.

if fedor didnt want such a big pay check the the UFC would have him fight in there organization. so to say hes the best in the world, cant say i agree with that until he fights someone in the UFC.

to me the UFC is the top dog, the rest are just impersonators.

Update

“Rumours about Hepatitis B are LIES, Aleks is not sick. He will fight at Affliction II in October.
This is what happened : “I (Vadim Finkelstein) do not clearly understand what has happened because we found out that Alexander had been debarred right before weighting procedure. I suppose that California commission has debarred Alexander because he was not in time to the date of medical examination — 13th of July, but it had happened because we had problems with visa in American embassy. For example Alexander’s seconds didn’t get visas without any explanations and that is why Alexander came only at July,15. Maybe they haven’t done some tests and it became a reason why commission didn’t allowed Alexander to fight.”

Fedor would beat anyone in the UFC. The interim champion, "Nogeira", he beat 2 times in pride. The ex champ, Silvia, he beat now in 36 seconds. Nogeira himself will remain champ for a while to come as he's as good as they get. He'll have no competition for awhile in UFC. Fedor would rape Couture. Even Nogeira would do it. They are at a way different level than where Couture is.

Hello Mr Physique, Fedor DID bet the UFC former champ in seconds and to have him fight a Randy G would imo be not very good, as Fedor would kill him fast to.Randy is not as good as some think "now" NO ONE in the UFC heavy weights can can qualifited to fight him. Now, Arwlorski is the only one now i think is closet. But who knows any other HW, has a punchers chance.

I love watching the Emilienko brothers fight. Whether they win or lose, these guys come in with no fear and give it their all. Fedor is just on another level by himself. He took down Sylvia with punches. I've seen Syliva get hit by all sorts of guys and just absorb them and continue. When Fedor strikes, you can see the power in his punches. Even though he's ranked pound for pound the best in the world, he still isn't given the credit he deserves imo. His reign won't last forever but regardless, at the moment, I don't see anyone as good as him. The Last Russion Emperor suits him fine. And he's a very humble person which makes it easier to like him.

Fedor did not go to the UFC because of the restrictions of the contract the Dictators of the UFC wanted to put on him. If you look he got paid less than half for the Affliction event then what was rumored he was asking for in the UFC so that to me proves it was not about the money.

Most fighters that were in this event are from the UFC and have got tired of dealing with Dana the Dick.

And it has already been stated he whopped the current UFC heavy weight Champ twice already and just raped the former HW champ, so your argument does not make any sense to me, but to each their own.

I would like to see an in shape (the one that fought CC the last time) Mark Hunt and Fedor go at it. I dont think AA will do much against Fedor if they fight.

Randy "says" he wants to fight Fedor but he did not look to enthusiastic about it after seeing what he did to Tim up close.

But as you said anyone has a punchers chance, if not we would not see upsets like GSP/Serra 1.
