It is a good way to get shamed by soccer moms. Yoga is a great discipline. It is good for adding some flexibility along with teaching you some balance and coordination. Checking out the hotties in the yoga outfits is a definite bonus.

Ok...is there a Yoga school I can go to before I walk in to those classes with my 25 lb dumb bells with me? I feel laME..they carry a mat and candles into class..whats with that stuff?

My 15 yr old is now taking yoga at her dance school and now she is saying..'mom go try it, you'll love it."

;) I have been trying to get her to take classes at the gym for months now...but because it's taught at her dance school...that's different. It's cooll and she likes it.

good for you ps..I'll try it as soon as I go to the school of yoga.

one time i went to not a yoga class, but a friend dragged me to a 'stretch' class. it was focussing on some stability and core, as well as some pnf stretching. i did a workout after and set pr's. it was great. ever since, i wanted to try out some yoga classes to see how they are for building flexibility and strengthening the core, and managed to get 1, but it was way too hippy feel good ish for me and not what i was looking for. i think it really depends on the class too and if it suits what you're looking for.

i'm open to trying out another class again though
