Hey Bro's,

Just a friendly reminder that when you are cycling, to check your BP daily.

I have an Omron machine with a large cuff that my Rx recommended and I use it to monitor myself on cycle. I'm one of the lucky ones as I'm on a heavy test/deca cycle right now, and still posting 125/55, but I still check it every day.

We spend a lot of time, money and effort to be in great shape. What's another $75 and a couple of minutes every day.

Be safe!

that is some good advice , i went to my doctors today just to refil my script for my asthma inhaler, but happened to mention that my inhalers werent working as well as usual latley , i told him ive been expierencing some heart palipatations latley and chest tightness and shortness of breath , he hooked me up to a ekg machine and after said that ur heart is lacking oxygen and go to the emergency room right now shit he was gonna call me an ambulance but i said no ill cab it he also told me that i could have a clogged artery ... i went and bought a tub of protein (cause i was all out )and then went to emerg, they took me right away and hooked me up to a ekg machine and took blood and all that other shit ... the head student doctor or what ever he is said from my ekg scan it looks as if im having a heart attack right now and he told me it could be a clogged artery or a blood clot but was not sure because he had to wait for the blood test results ... im thinking great no more juice im only 28 and ive ****ed myself, right now im running test e @1500mg eq @ 900mg tren e @ 400mg masteron @100mg eod
t3 50mcg and clen 100mcg and some dostinex and a little viagra or cialis here and there
well tests came back and he told me I AM NORMAL but i do have some heart damage but not in the last 3 weeks he told me to take a aspirin every day and to try and lay off of the viagra and cialis , i asked hime about the gear and he said not to stop if dont want to , he told me too get a stress test and take it from there ..... every body be safe and get regular check ups

Are those machines at the Shoppers Drugmart's fairly accurate? Does anyone use them?

Ya...just buy a home one......Your to check your blood pressure 2x a day I think... A.M for sure....so it's not like your going to get up every day and rush over to Shoppers Drug Mart. You need to be consistent and keep a journal to know if it's high or low etc.

I could be wrong but i think that those machines are only good if you have 16 inch and under sized arms which im certain you are over that :)

those machines are only for use up to 16in.......anything over 16in and the reading wont be very accurate......a few stores are installing the bigger ones....i complained for about a year at my local pharmacy about the thing damn near cutting my arm off and they finally upgraded......look for the ones that give you a printed sheet afterwards.....those are bigger....

Got 142/83 on my last bp test. Not too shabby, do have a high systolic though, working to lower that.

those are pretty high results, i got up around 135/90 with resting heart beat around 85 and was freaking out. I bought an omron but the wrist cuff one. Seems pretty good.

The last couple of years I've been laying off heavy cycles since I was worried about heart damage and since I've been doing long but lower dosages I've been in great shape, around 110/60 with heart rate around 55 in the morning...take care of your heart, its not worth putting on 100lbs in one year just to damage your heart

Yeah, I'm around most of the boards, I just don't post too often.

Good call on dropping the gear with those BP numbers. Are you a salt sensitive? If my GF eats too much salt her BP goes through the roof, but it's alright if she keeps her sodium intake under control.

They flat out don't read accurately.. I'd say they are more for 14inch arms...

Just a quick example how far off a small cuff can throw your readings..
Went to the hospital a month ago for an allergy attack..

Triage Nurse took my BP Twice, all readings were high 155/90, 158/92.. Got admitted and went in the back and the nurse came, looked at me and said I need a bigger cuff... 2 more readings in the back.. 115/72 and 116/76

When I asked her about the difference up front till now, she said the cuff can throw it WAY of.... So make sure you have a large enough cuff for sure...

Absolutely right. My doc uses the thigh cuff on my arm when I go to her office!
