My one buddy got caught doing 270 on the QEW Niagara... bike is gone, so is his license ( probably saved his life )
That said, I think you'll see/hear about alot more high speed chases with the law. I know it's bad to run - but if I happen to hit 130 in an 80 and I see the cherries.. knowing that my bike is towed/lose license/can't fight it in court - and i'm facing $10,000 i'll probably just giver.
Just seen 2 cars fly by me the other day on the freeway hope they geo caught one day and lose there cars.

Run, find payphone and report your call stolen that morning from your house

Haha, I would just head near the airport where the choppers can't fly and track me...Then off to the nearest mall where i'll ditch, cab it to my friends house, wait for the cops to call me or show up at my home. And then pretend like I didn't know it got stolen.

The thing that pisses me off about the whole thing is that you get your vehicle and licensed yanked without a chance to defend yourself. You are not tried by a judge or jury you are judged by the cop. That is not his job or at least it shouldn't be. Giving cops more powers will lead us closer to military rule where an individuals rights are taken away. Here is a petition that helps explain things. I hope everyone signs it.

I'm all for that new law. If you're dumb enough to go 50 km/h over the posted speed limit, you deserve what comes to you. Make sure you don't kill some innocent bystander too. Vehicular homicide anyone?

I have never had to do that ..they just impound your car and you pay for the tow bill and thats it...no need to report anything nor answer there ****ing questions...you havent been arrested for anything ...I have never been charged and had cops tell me you got lucky this time...hahahaha..

I am all for vehicular manslaughter as long as the case is heard by a judge. The problem with the new law is not the penalties but the lack of due process. If you feel comfortable with a cop handing out justice on the side of a road with no witnesses make sure you tell him. I am sure he will treat you fair.

This is how I see it, I was dumb enough to vote when I turned 18. Now at age 30, I know better. I didn't vote the idiots in, so I could care less what new laws are brought in. You know I remember in school being told the fairytale of how the people we elect are their to make our life fair and that they work for us. HAHAHAHA, what a crock of SHIT!

you can get nab by this law for doing other things as well , it is not just about going 50kph over....for instience on a motorcycle you can get hit with this charge for lane spliting, wheelies, endos......since the cop is the one making the decision he can charge you with the new law for pretty much anything you do as long as in his eye you were "street racing"

OR "stunt driving". These vague terms leave to much discretionary power to the cops.

thats my beef with the law. I understand guys weaving all over the highway and racing, but on the 401, to hit 151 is easy with traffic and safe too. Plus you know if you have a car like a Vette and burn out the tires, even a little one, also is cause for suspension under the law!
how many people die in German in the Autobahn? Far less than here because they know how to drive properly and safely!

ON my way to the hospital I have been much slower these days. Even when it's 3 am and the roads are empty I drive much slower.
