Hi all,

I'm moving to Toronto in a few weeks and looking for a gym that has the Pec Desk machine to do Reverse Flyes to hit the Read Deltoid and Traps.

Not sure where I’ll be living right now but aiming for Downtown or within a 2-3Km reach of Downtown so this includes the West End, Annex, Yonge & Bloor etc so ideally looking for a gym in that proximity.

Ive never been to TO and have no background on what gyms are good or crap for now.

Does anyone know of a good weight lifters gym that has the machine to do reverse flyes as well as a lot of gyms don’t have them. After snapping my clavicle twice playing Rugby this machine is a preference over using free-weights.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions guys.

Jay

Do you want a Pec Flye or a Pec Dec machine? Pec Flye machines are pretty much in every Goodlife - Life Fitness brand. Pec Dec are more old school so you may have to do a search for that one. Check out Anytime Fitness in Pickering - Andre owes it and posts on CBB. Good guy. He owns several Anytime Fitness gyms - he may have one at one of his locations.

Dumbbells or a cable crossover machine work just as well if not better.

Hey guys, thanks for taking time to reply. Apologies on the typos just re-read my post and noticed my phone amended some spelling!

1) Cheers Sean for the detail, unfortunately Pickering is a little to far out for a to-be City boy but I will look into the Good Life gyms now.
2) CORRECTION: I was after the Fly Machine actually not the Pec Deck, so I face the other direction and use it to work the Rear Delts.
3 )I knew I'd get suggestions about other exercises but I am looking for a new gym and thought Id narrow it down to one that has this Flye Machine. I do free weights for all my shoulder exercises except isolating rear Deltoids due to a stupid injury that makes using free weights awkward and too un-balanced. I've noticed significant growth in my Rear Delts from including this exercise in my Shoulder routine and strongly recommend it.

^^ I've been doing high cable rear delt flyes because my gym lacks the machinery you speak of. With correct form - you will obliterate your rear delts!
