Here's a presentation I stumbled across on the NCIDU website. Gives a concise overview of some of the potential risks associated with PIED use.

Although the pictures are sensational, the written content suggests that the risks of use are less than posited in the press. No surprise there! For example, the only supported physical complication is unfavorable change in blood lipid levels.
It also identifies users as "well-educate... well-informed... goal directed..." and "leading healthy lifestyles and rigorous training regimes". Wow! so we're not dumb crooks and juice heads!! This research makes me wonder if some of the seedy mythology about AAS use and the supposed dangers are on their way out.
