I was going to book an appointment to see the Doc about some TRT. Wondering if anyone had some good things to say, if my Test results came back normal for a 40 yr old. Like depression. Give me the shit or I will kill you. Any ideas?

I've heard of people going to get their bloodwork done after some UG test while their natural levels are screwed up and then starting PCT.
I say you just try the give me it or I will kill you.

Ar you depressed? Do they presc test for that? Only thing is low test levels that will get you a presc. And I think you'll end up paying alot more thru your doc than you will on the black market.

No depression but I can use that. I think my insurance will cover it or at least I hope. Also heard of people complaining of low sex drive, poor sleep, being grumpy and moody . Even when tested in the normal range. Any guys on here on trt?

Yep. I ml/week 100 mg/ml test cyp. I paid $37 for a 10 ml vial at the pharmacy. How does that compare with ug prices?
It's making a big difference in how I feel. Mood, sex, lifting, body comp, ability to do work... all are noticeably improved in just my fifth week of therapy.
I'm 42 and was feeling like my body was falling to pieces. Now I feel better than I have since I was in my 30s. I've never used bodybuilding doses of test... I imagine it must feel pretty amazing since a mere 100mg/week is making this much difference!
I don't see how tricking the doc would be helpful, though. Surely 100 mg/week is nowhere near a "useful" dose unless your natural test is already quite low.

A doc won't prescribe you because you say your tired/depressed etc...if your test levels don't come back low....you wont get it.

Well thats the problem is how low do you have to go before they perscribe it?
You can have test levels in the mid to low range and feel like shit. There's a clinic in Burlington On that specializes in this shit. I may have to go on my own trt.

How long you been on trt? Do you know how long one could stay on it?

I work with these guys I know what they are looking for. The GP's are reluctant to prescribe unless they are comfortable with it Or they will send you to a endocrinologist. But the best places are the clinics that do HRT exclusively. There is one in Hamilton. I'd say shut down your test production with a few weeks of dbol or prop and then wait for them to clear then make your appointment for blood work.
^^ good idea....shut yourself down with a fast acting ester so it's sure to clear your system before the bloodwork is done.......

Again I ask, what is the benefit of getting on TRT if your natural levels are not actually low? Why even bother tricking the doc?

I have heard good things about the HRT clinic in Hamilton... from people who needed real TRT.
the benefit would be to get script test from the doc.....albeit a low dose.....he'd still have a legal script for it.........

I think that is definitely the way to go....Do you have to return your empty vials?

Its not a matter of tricking the doc. Its that most Docs are reluctant to prescribe it if your in the low range. As long as you in that range they think it okay. I am looking for quality of life.

I can definitely vouch for the positive effect of TRT on quality of life. High-normal test levels make a ton of difference. I hope that you get what you are looking for and I hope it works as well for you as it is working for me!

Hey were you under the norm?
Low-normal, but with pretty clear symptoms like reduced sex drive, increased aches and pains, less sleep, grouchyness, etc etc.

Switchin docs... thanks for the info Gordi.. after so long of the symptoms you start to forget what it's like to be 'normal'... Can't wait to see my new doc.

It's completely true: You just start to accept feeling like crap... and there is NO need to. It's stunning that all of those symptoms can be reversed so quickly and simply.

Gordi, did the doc ask you what form you would prefer the testosterone therapy in? Like creams vs the patch vs injections?
gordi

He first prescribed Andriol.
I did some research, and found that it's unreliably absorbed. Androgel had its pros and cons. Injectable seemed the best route, but some people don't like to inject themselves, so some docs don't like to prescribe that form.
My wife is a nurse aid in Canada, and was an RN in Japan. She has no problem injecting me, and now that she's showed me the procedure I have no problem injecting myself.
Once I explained that to our family doctor, he was very receptive to prescribing injectable. He's a really good doctor, I'm pretty lucky.

yea you're lucky! is that the most they'll give, 100mg/wk? I thought they would go up to 200mg at the most?

Low-normal, but with pretty clear symptoms like reduced sex drive, increased aches and pains, less sleep, grouchyness, etc etc.
Hell, I have been feeling like that for 4 to 5 years now. The only relief I got was when I actually tried test for the first time. Slept better, felt more at ease and driven. Went to the Doc he said it was most likely stress I'd be fine. So I decided to take matters into my own hands and book an appointment at the Men's Clinic. It may cost me a little more for self-referral but it may be worth it.
Gordi you on anything else right now that was for trt? Hcg?

I'm not sure. His desk reference seemed pretty clear about 100 mg/week being the typical starting point, so my guess is he'll be open to adjusting the dose if I still test low. Based on how I'm feeling now (fantastic) I doubt I'll need it.

Not at the moment. If my E2 tests out really high or if my nutsack sucks up into my lower abdomen, I'd guess we'll look into an AI and/or Hcg. So far, though (9 weeks in, I think) so good. I'm shovelling down anti-estrogen supps like zinc and resveratrol, and I'm wondering about maybe looking into getting some liquidex for my pet lab rats...

Today was the day of my first visit. It seemed fairly simple and easy.
Whether my blood work comes back showing low or high test my symptoms indicate I'm low. Therefore the Docs is saying I will be on it no matter what. Seems to easy. The only draw back may be that its androgeland it needs applying everyday. Any suggestions on how to get perscribed Injectable test?

I just asked for it. We discussed the pros and cons of the different methods of administration. The big con for injectables is that people don't like needles. I explained that my wife is a nurse and she can give me my shots. That was good enough for my doc. If you just explain to your doc that you don't mind needles... maybe that'll be good enough for him. I've heard that the gel works OK, but I wouldn't want to switch, personally. I like the injections. I like that my wife is part of the process (though I'm quite happy to pin myself if she's busy).

50 mg wkly? Is that a fairly good dose ? Think it would be more like 100.
