View Full Version : Cost of Going Legit TRT in Canada + other Q's?

Hey guys, quick question. I've been running low test, around 200mg per week, for a while since I find I feel great on it - so basically I've been running TRT for a little while (I'm almost 40 now, so my goal isn't mass muscle anymore, but feeling great etc..)

Since I'm running low on my supply, instead of getting more UG gear, I was thinking of going to a Dr. and getting a legit prescription.

My questions:

1) What's the cost? Consultations, medicine?
2) What kind of dose do they give in Canada? I know in the US some will give 200mg per week
3) Can I shoot it myself, or do I have to go back to the Dr's office for them to do it?

BTW: For those using legit test, I'm assuming the gear is much better off in terms of quality? I've only used UG, so I can't really compare.

Thanks!
TC

Consult at walk in clinic free, you will have to come off test for a good while so test level will be below normal range for blood test. 5ml vial of perscription test e 200mg/ml about $60. Test is test,no difference if source is legit.

Hmm thanks for the feedback.

See that's the thing, I could go into a regular walk in or even my own doc, but I'm worried they'll have that negative attitude.

Especially with my doc, he's a nice guy, but he's not exactly the 'athletic' type, so I was thinking of going straight to a clinic that understands these things.

Something to think about. Anyone else have feedback with how the 'first talk' went? Am I wrong in thinking that most regular docs are still going off medical books from 1978 and behind the times when it comes to TRT?

My endo started me off with 100mg/week, today is Day 34.
I was told to inject 100mg/wk subQ, I have been injecting 50mg x 2/wk intramuscularly.

My next appointment with my endo is EOM, hopefully he ramps it up to 150mg/wK!!!

As for the 'first talk', straight up tell them you have;
-libido issues
-you lose interest in sex
-your erections are not as hard
-your packing on fat even when lifting and eating right
-your injury prone and they take forever to heal

Look up the ADAM test (Androgen Defiency in Aging Males) and look at the symptoms, if you say 'yes' to #1 and #7 (I think) you likely have low test.
again this is up to your Dr. to actually take action, assumign he is openminded and competent.

Test is test,no difference if source is legit.UG test is cheaper, but at least, with prescribed Test, you know what you're getting is safe and clean and your company plan may cover it. We've had some dirty shit floating around the Hamilton area where 3 guys, (using the same crap) ended up with wicked infections. 1 guy had part of his lat removed, the other had to have a chunk of his delt removed. Like Ryan said, make sure of your source!

I cant stress how much pharma grade is better than UG, day and night.
The gains seen from pharam grade are phenemonal and especially at such low dosing.

If you have medical benefits through your workplace, as well as a spouse that you can use both plans together on prescriptions you can get your test for free.

Dose will be anywhere from 50-200mg per week, depending on your blood levels after a few weeks being on.

And for doing your own shots, that depends on the doc. I am able to pick up my own and do my shots at home.

it cost me $68.47 at shoper for a 200mg/ml 5ml bottle. I am dosed at 100mg every week. About maybe 3$ a month in needles. I inject into my quads with a 23g x 1" and draw it out with a 18g x 1".

I made sure to book my first shot appointment on a Saturday. Hes often off on my injection day so i did it myself after watching you tube videos and i can now do them at home he his ok with it.

You don't always know it's safe and clean, mistakes happen in human grade just like UGL... There was American pharm grade steroids contaminated with meningitis this year half a dozen people confirmed dead...

http://newsone.com/2054106/steroid-shots-death/ And all this from a government inspected lab....imagine what's floating around in the gear that buddy makes in his basement! The sickness and infection are probably 1000x higher with UG gear but you're obviously never going to read that in the news.

About the pricing i picked up 24 23g x 1" and 24 18g x 1" tip. I changed from snap lock to the interlock and it cost be 9.50$ tax in for all 48 items.

Bingo! 100% agree.

I am also on Doc prescribed TRT and pay 40.99$ for a bottle of Delatestrly 200mg x 5ml. Insurance pays 80% so I pay 8.20$ for 10 weeks of treatment = 0.80$ per week, practically free.

Most people will have to pay.Doesnt sound any cheaper and quality is good. Why burden the health system any further?

I agree cog, I've always used UG without anything more than a shot that's a little more sore than it should be, and it looks like UG is actually a bit cheaper. I do what I do and don't give a f*** what other people do if they can get away with it and they're happy, so be it.

To each their own, I respect that. From my perspective, I didn't want to deal with the legal risk, having a criminal record would end my career in my field. Also, going the legal route has the benefit of getting regular blood tests to monitor estradiol, hematocrit, psa, cholesterol and at least things will be spotted if something starts going wrong.

If you are not being followed by a doc, at least a yearly checkup with blood work for those things would be prudent, especially the hematocrit levels since it's very commonly high in testosterone users.
