Does anyone know a Canadian company that sells 5/8 chains? Either retail store online order, or a bodybuilding supply... Every hardware tractor supply or building supply store only sells 3/8 which is far too light, found one company who sold 5/8 but it was $21.50 a foot which is insane considering ill need 11' per set it'd be cheaper to order off Elite FTS...

I called Lowes, Home Depot, Home Hardware, Canadian Tire, Princess Auto, 5-6 various builder supplies, 3-4 tractor supply, 5 farm supply...

I'm thinking the ones from FitnessDepot are better because they are not bolted into a collar like the other two places, it is just the chain + 1 caribiner because if it's attached through a collar it doesn't allow a full deload, while if you attach a 3/16 chain to the 5/8 it will allow for a full deload at the bottom..

I picked my chains up at Fitness Ave and bought a carabiner at TSC or Home Depot (don't remember now). My bands I bought at Elite FTS but realized about 2 weeks later that Treadmill Factory just got them in. I didn't really compare prices. I just wanted them without the shipping (chains) - bands I had shipped to my US box.

I had been asking/searching for chains for about 2 months before Fitness Ave got them in. Maybe about a month after that the other stores got them in. What I think happens is China makes a certain product (for example the chains or my Safety Squat bar) and stores order a bunch in a cargo container. Once it arrives by boat the stores get them. Unfortunately, there is no one in the US/Canada making quality products - it all comes from China.

Fastenall has pretty good prices. That's where I bought my chains.
