Hey I'm hoping people here can help me out. I'm currently on trt. I have pre existing gyno from aas but now that I'm on trt it is getting painful and growing. I'm only on 100mg a week. I've talked to my doc who is supervising my trt about it and I'm meeting with some resistance to get anti estregen to control it until I can get surgery. My problem is I can afford the few thousand dollars to pay for the surgery. I've done a bit of looking around online but havne't got firm answers. I'm trying to find a doc perferably in the edmonton area that will bill the surgery to alberta health care. I'd be willing to travel to calgary for the surgery if need be. I'm hoping someone can help me out with the name of a good doc to do the surgery that will bill it to alberta health. It is painful and it interferes with work, sleep, exercise etc and stopping the trt is not an option. Any help would be great thanx

You may also try running Aromasin 12.5mg EOD to helo control it until surgery.

Nolvadex is a SERM...Aromasin is a aromatase inhibitor..two completely different things. Sometimes however both may be necessary to control gyno. Google both you will find much info.

I understand they are different. My concern is I don`t want to stay on nolva long term while saving for surgery. I`s like to make the move to aromasin if that`s a safer alternative for longer use. 1 year possibly more. I also can`t seem to find a good write up online about aromasin for trt use that i can present my doc. Everything is either user experience forum posts or related to female medical.

Most studies show side effects of Aromasin slightly higher then nolvadex...but many use it for trt without isse...its not necessary every day...three times weekly is usually enough. Nolvadex can be used to reduce the gyno initially while aromasin starts to reduce the overall blood levels of estrogen to a point where nolvadex is no longer needed. It may be tough to find studies dealing with aromasin for trt usage...i dont think many docs prescribe it but probably should. Most guys feel much better even if they dont have gyno issue using an AI on TRT.
