starting cycle in spite of high prolactin

so the endo has confirmed my high prolactin levels are due to me having a small pitutory tumor in my head as confirmed by bloodwork and head MRI. now he told me this has nothing to do with past AAS use but temporarily prolactin can be high on cycle if using certain compounds.


i have been off AAS for almost 14 months now and things are starting to shift in the right direction. my current blood work is as follows (see attachment).

now he doesn't want me taking steroids but from the looks of it i am recovered as all values are in range with the exception of prolactin which he says will take 3-4 months to get in normal range which is around 94 right now. he has seen prolactin levels over 1000 and said mine is not too lose sleep over but want to see it down to normal range.

he doesn't seem to experienced with AAS use but what are your thoughts? should i wait till my procatin is normal? he has me on cabergoline .5mg weekly as of now. he says i will probbaly have to stay on it for at least 1-2 years at which point the prolactin tumor should halt growing.34118

Cabergoline / Cabaser (Also known as Dostinex which contains only 0.5mg per tab) is a relatively new drug Cabaser was primarily invented for the purpose of lowering prolactin in patients with a pituitary tumors and other prolactin related conditions. Some of the conditions which Cabaser has been used successfully are:

thanks guys, i am already taking cabergoline which is cabaser/dostinex.

other options he has for me are norprolac or bromocriptine. i wasan't able to tolerate bromo and dostinex is very $$$ glad medical is covering it as they don't write a script for it unless one has bad reaction to bromo due to expense.

my 2 cents on it are, if i am able to keep suppressing the prolactin via dostinex i should be okay to use AAS (while refraining form the ones that increase prolactin such as deca/tren)

I wouldnt advise someone personally in this situation, as i am not versed enough to do so...
Bromo sucks, stay away, if on cabaser already, then that is about all i know on the subject....

As IW says Bromo sucks big time...use the caber as suggested.

If you were to go on cycle obviously you should stay away from any aas that cause prolactin issues. If it were me I would use only test and monitor levels as you go...you may want to stick to prop as you would be able to stop it quickly if things dont go well.

ok thanks for all the advice,

only reason i want to go back on cycle is to help with body composition. part of me actually doesn't even want to since i realized how important dieting is, my strength has gone down which is obvious but its coming back nicely and same with body comopistion i was actually shocked all these years of improper dieting and now that i am off i am dieting harder because that is my fuel now and what a difference i look like i am on gear so its just enticing that now i have my diet working for me how much better i could look with gear.

you are right p, which is why i might not go back on at all, i kind of like the challenge being off which makes me focus on my diet, where as when i was on gear i could half ass it and still look good.
