p,

not sure if you have seen the kai green and george farah Q AND A seminar in Ireland last week but some interesting things he talks about.

1. he says don't take carbs with protein post workout - because this is when your gh levels are the highest and you blunt them when introducing carbs he says have 20-30g of fasting acting whey protein hydroslate with broken down peptides such as hydrowhey from optimum. he says wait 30 mins after that then have your meal with protein/carbs.

right now im doing 2.1 ratio of dextrose/whey isolate is this not right?

i know he knows his stuff but i wonder how much is hype since he used to work for optimum not any more i believe.

i love how pros recommend doing this over that and whatnot. kai is using so much exogenous GH im sure it makes no difference whatsoever when he times his carb meals. Take pro advice with a grain of salt. they are on so much gear that what they do should really have no translation to what you do in comparison.

This is what DiPasquale says as well.Except he says never spike insulin at all.If we accept that insulin and gh are on a teeter totter the vid makes sense. He does mention that he is referring to natty #8.

Fair enough. I just wince whenever I hear of some pro recommending this special strategy over that. They are so far above and beyond everyone else in their lifestyle, genetics, and sauce use that taking their advice seems asinine. I read on here in a thread that advice should be taken from those guys who battled through shitty genetics and fought for every pound gained. I am one of these people, which is why I value my own opinion over many others.

That being said I still seek out coaching from those who definitely know more than I do when it comes to fine tuning (Praetorian, Sean Summers, etc.)

Its a fine line to walk I suppose.

Carbs do blunt natural GH release but your largest GH release is 3 hours after falling asleep. Pros need not worry at all about this because as you say they use exogenous GH which is not affected by carbs. You can wait 30min before taking carbs...but I wouldnt expect any massive gains.
