Hi All

I have found a bunch of old posts referring to a Gym in Calgary owned by forum member AlladdanSane. I can't find a location or anything saying whether the gym is still around. I will be moving to Calgary in about 2 weeks so I would really like to get this info. Does anyone have information on this gym?

Yeah it's a shame that it had to close down. I've never been there but always heard great things about it.

I just got here yesterday and I'm in the south west side. I'm thinking of going to pro bodies as it's about a 6 minutes drive away. The only other gym i know around here is a good life in the Richmond Square plaza. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

I live on Sarcee Road so sounds like that World's gym would be pretty close to me also. Can't seem to find it on google though.

Not a bad gym actually for being a franchise...

Went to World's today and it was ok. I'm looking to do more powerlifting now and the guy trying to get me to sign up said they have Olympic platforms and more powerlfiting stuff at the McLeod location. Has anyone had any issue with powerlifting at these gyms?

Their full of off the wall rules as far as im concerned, compared to just a self owned/non franchise more hard core style of gym. Plus you dont get trapped in the sign up fees and so on....

I'm looking for a solid self owned/non franchise up North. Would someone mind pointing me in the right direction?

Thanks! Will do.

I've read about what was supposedly a crazy gym on centre and 16th that closed out not too long ago, so I hope it's not the same one. Such a shame that most of the small joints in Calgary seem to have been taken out by the chains.
