I am looking to start acquiring home fitness equipment again in a crusade to eventually own a fully functioning home gym.

My first purchase will probably be a roman chair considering I dont have a lot of space right now and I really need to increase my lower back and ab strength, arguably more than any other part of my body.

What is the best make of Roman Chair that exists? The XMark one I found online looks decent. Has anyone bought and owned one they really liked? I need one that has many adjustments in size and is suitable for someone over 6ft and well over 200lbs.

Thank you.

Why settle for a roman when a GHD does so much more?

Miller has a plan for a GHD if you know a welder.

for a starter home gym one would think that an adjustable bench and weights would be your first choice as these will allow you to perform all kinds of exercises including roman chair sit ups and for lower back you can do stiff leg deads.

I am still going to do most of my full body stuff at the gym, I just want some stuff to do at home where I have space after cardio in the morning that only needs calisthetics for my core. Its a good start until I have enough space for a full rack and bench and real weights etc.

The GHD has become an essential tool for college football teams. No ordinary bench can take its place.

GHR from EFTS or a few Canadian companies. Bells of steel or luckies are good ones here, cheapest would be to do what COG said and make one.
