hi I suffered a bad fall acouple of weeks ago and i'm in physio right now(just started today). i'm not able to goto the gym and workout yet as i have lots of soft tissue, muscle damage(i did get the go ahead to at lest go and use the treadmill and walk).and it's driving me crazy not being able to goto the gym i've already noticed loss of muscle and gaining of fat ( i gain weight easy it's just my body type). but i'm looking into the future and looking for someone to help with training and setting up a good routine for me, i was going 5, 6 days a week and i will be looking to be doing that again. so i'm just wondering if anybody lives in the victoria area and is a personal trainer or has knowledge to help me get back on track. no long term thing as i'm not rich just someone to help set up a plan. thanks for any and all the input that you'll give.

I'm in Nanaimo and until you get the ok from the Dr and your physio you'll just have to learn patience. It sucks I know as I've been down a similar road, but if you return to training too soon you could really set yourself back, so just do as you're told and keep your nutrition as clean as possible so you don't get overly fat while you're rehabbing.

And feel free to check out my website.

thanks skailes. no worry about going to the gym to early as i definately don't want to prolong my injurys.and yeah i'm tring to eat clean it's more the fact that i can't do alot of moving around to burn cals as much, walking and standing are about all the working out i can handle at the moment lol. but for sure i'll check out your website. cheers

Just sitting around and feeling depressed or sorry for yourself will only make the healing process that much longer and tougher to get through. Ask your physio if you can use or do any type of exercise while at home, and you can also use this time to research your injury and look for ways to improve your healing time.

it's been 4 weeks since i fell 30'. i'm going to physio 4 times a week with 2 of those in the pool. i get real sore after pool days. but i've noticed i am geting better but my back and ribs are still kinda ****ed. so i'm figering still aways away but i have hope. but on the crappy part i've gained almost 20 lbs , hard to just stop eating the same as when in training. but on the good side my legs are not hurting to much and i can ride a stationary bike so i'm gona start that up.

i've also been reading that the hydromorphone i've been taking for pain relief also slows down your metabolism.
