I couldn't take the BS Rogers bills every month and finally switched to Mobilicity and highly recommend it! I'm now encouraging everyone I know to get off the big three carriers if they can, in case you don't know Canadians pay the highest cell phone bills anywhere! We're getting gauged every month and it's BS as it hurts the low and middle income people - we all need a phone!

My review:

Background, I consider myself a 'normal' user, meaning I mainly talk/text/check emails with occasional web browsing (rarely) - most posts of people complaining I think are from heavy tech guys who download a ton

I switched to Mobilicity about a month ago from Rogers. Outgoing works right away, incoming a couple of hours later - a much better experience than what I thought.

Signal - for my cell I picked up a used BlackBerry since I know they have a great antenna - I wanted to try the service before committing to buy a new phone.

I can honestly say I've never had one problem at all. In fact, I get better signal than my iphone on Rogers - although I admit I had the 3G which had some issues, perhaps newer phones have better antennas.

Voice quality is awesome, again I think that's the blackberry. I live in midtown, but work in an office in North York where Rogers had signal issues - again no problems at all with Mobilicity. My girlfriend lives up in Vaughan at Major Mack, where I thought for sure there's no signal but I was wrong as I was getting a great signal, not full but 3-4/5 bars but still for the price it's awesome... again she just texts and calls, doesn't really surf

Between the same experience as Robbers/ I mean Rogers, yet at half the cost I would rate my experience is a 10/10!

I waited months since I read so many reviews talking about reception and I regret it. If you're worried about signal and need good voice quality and want to try Mobilicity, pick up a cheap BB 9700 for 125 bucks and you'll have zero issues. Try it out, you can always sell the phone if you're not happy. I think a lot of negative reviews are guys who download a ton of stuff, I sit at a computer all day so there's no need for me to watch a tiny screen when I have a huge monitor LOL

Try it out, you won't regret it! Let's get rid of the Rogers/Bell BS!!

FYI I also got rid of my rogers internet and went with start.ca - half the price with the same service and more gb d/l capacity - and I got an antenna to watch free HD TV! See ya later Rogers! ha

Hope that helps
Cheers
