I started taking T4 at 100mcg 4 weeks ago and my competition is in 8 weeks from now but I'd like to transition it to using T3 so I can easily get off it after my competition ends to recover. Is there still a chance to recover my thyroid?

First off T4 is inactive thyroid...which means it must be converted to T3 to do its job. 100mcg is basically a replacement dosage for someone who would be hypothyroid. T4 is pretty much useless for dieting with T3 being the wiser choice. However I am not sure what you mean by making it easier to recover. Exogenous T3 will shut down your natural thyroid production and it wont make it easier to recover. Recovery will happen when you stop taking any thyroid thus eliminating the negative feedback loop.
