Teresa (his partner) posted this on FB this morning....
"I take great comfort knowing that I was with Rob in the last moments of his life. The last person he held hands with and said I love you to.
I want to set the record straight on what happened, as to avoid or pull the reins on what is being said. Sunday morning Rob and I went to the gym as we always do, he felt some indigestion when he woke up, he was also having chest pains but he has a tear in one of his chest muscles so we massage it out frequently, he has had this for years. He was moving slower than usual but he was under a great deal of stress from an on-going legal process surrounding his personal life.
We arrived at the gym at 6:50am. Rob was training with a friend of mine and she arrived shortly after 7:00am. They were training back and I was training chest. All of a sudden she came running to me and told me Rob collapsed and hit his head. I saw him on the ground, two men were over him (one a nurse and the other a fireman who were training at the gym at the time). I was on the ground talking to Rob. They rolled him on his back and performed CPR, then they rolled him on his side and with me in front of him, he took his last breath. Regardless what the hospital says the time of his death to me is 7:16am because I looked at the clock and saw that and thought, we just got here. What is happening?
At that point the Ambulance came and tried to resuscitate him three more times. After that, all I remember is being in the Ambulance and on the way to the hospital. I kept looking back and seeing the paramedics working on him. The woman driving the Ambulance put her hand on my arm and said "We're breathing for him".
Time passed so quickly at the hospital when they rushed him in, and soon enough, one of emergency personnel came to me and said the Doctor wants to talk to you. I walked in with my friend, and what I saw I will never forget, all these people around him, wires everywhere. I must have fainted I guess because I was sitting when the Doctor came close to me and said "We have been working on him for an hour, this is now torturing him, we need to let him go". His eyes were so close to mine and I said "Is he dead?", the Doctor said "I'm so sorry for your loss". I repeated that same question to him over and over and he kept saying, "I'm sorry for your loss".
So this is the events as it happened that day. I take solace knowing that I was there until the very end. Rob is in a better place. May he rest in peace."

That really sucks. I remember him from taking shots of the guy while I covered shows he won before. Bummer.

I knew Rob from the gym. He will be missed so much. My thoughts go out to his wife Dianne and his two children. I don't know who Teresa is, but I know Rob loved his family with all his heart. Rest In Peace Rob.
By the way, the telling of his unforunate death should be about Rob, not about (who ever this Teresa person is) fainting and what not. And whats up with not taking Rob to a doctor or hospital that morning when he was having chest pains. Maybe she should of thought about someone other then herself. Just sayin. The story just sounds like its all about this Teresa broad. MARRIED is MARRIED and Rob was married. Love ya Bro!!!!
My condolences to his wife and children - his parents, brother and family
I don't know what to say.
You are speaking out of my heart Sugar Mama. Wtf - quote: "he was also having chest pains but he has a tear in one of his chest muscles so we massage it out frequently, he has had this for years. He was moving slower than usual" Chest pain - you go to the doctor and have it checked out - is this woman a doctor or plain stupid. I knew Rob from the gym and we used to work out a few times, didn't realy know her - seen her a few times. The world revolved around her - everything was a big show - me, me, me.... I am sad for Rob that he got tangled up in this web - he was a great guy and loved his family
I know he was separated but deep down he still loved his wife (told me so himself) "it is what it is, I guess I have to live with it" (that's what he told me) I also knew his parents - great people. So what is that obituary in the Toronto Star? Who thought of that? No mention of his wife and parents - I wonder were that is coming from. No respect for his family, not to mention Rob. I followed all the post's and video's - who is the victim here? When does she have time to grieve? Great show - what's the trophy? Rob you are free now and in a better place - the Lord had a reason for that. RIP my friend - watch over your children and your family - we all miss you.

No need to personally attack anyone here. This thread was to offer thoughts and prayers to Rob, his friends, family and loved ones. Let's keep it at that.

This is Teresa. I will respond on my behalf. It wasn't about me, never has been, I have 3,000 emails, documented court processes, laywers notes, Rob's own personal letters, Co-workers who knew of what "choice" words he had for his EX, the counselor that the he had sessions with (in which prior to his death gave written authorization to disclose his file) and 3 daytimers where he wrote everything explicitly of what he felt for his parents, his friends, his kids and his ex-wife.
Unless you lived with him and saw what he went through, do not judge. Cowardly that you need to hide behind this forum. Yes follow the posts, they are true. If you have anything you want to say to me, you can email me through FB as you seem to interested in everything I am doing.

And the by the way, Rob has had chest pains for months. He told his clients, he told his friends. Let's all attack them for not taking him to the doctor. Rob did what he wanted. You obviously knew nothing of his life nor do I even think you knew of him.
