You could add quinoa to carbs and macadamia nut oil to fats/dietary oils.

Great, except why is bottled water there under Eggs n Dairy, and Diet Soda under Condiments?

Actually, I don't even see why diet soda would be mentioned at all. It has zero benefits to a body builder.

Everything else looks good though, thanks for the post! :)

Sorry if this is a repost...

Here's a list of foods sorted alphabetically, with macro break downs...good to have for planning meals...it's not a "bbing" list specifically but a list of all sorts of food, including the good stuff...

foods are broken down like this: Weight, Energy, Protein, Carbohydrate, Fat, Cholesterol, and Saturated Fat

Enjoy

I ran across something new at superstore today. I usually buy red split lentils which are 60g carbs (11g fiber) and 25g protein per 1/2 cup. But today I noticed yellow split PEAS which are 60g carbs (22g fiber) and 22g protein.

Can't get a better protein-rich carb source than that b/c if you take away fiber its 2:1 in protein.

I wanted to add natural almond butter for fat sources (arguably better than natural peanut butter).

this list is all wrong! Their is no good and bad food, or magical food that will make you grow muscle! their is nothing wrong with bacon, white rice, white bread, ice cream, candy bar, chocolat milk, pizza .....

The most important thing is to hit your macro at the end of the day AND HAVE FOOD THAT YOU ENJOY!!!

Nitrites, trans fats, high fructose corn syrup, simple sugars, bleached white flour...all of these item cause an inflammatory response called atherosclerosis and lead to high LDL levels, heart disease, insulin resistance, the list goes on...putting junk into your body as fuel will lead to poor gains and health issues...a calorie is not a calorie and meeting macros at the end of the day is such an old incorrect argument its becoming silly...please do some serious research before posting non sense like this.

How is your nutrition working for you? whats your last placing in a BB contest...post some pics...weight and stats

I don't believe in this "exclusive dieting". Can someone please explain to me what makes this such a great list of bodybuilding foods, and why if a food isn't on this list I shouldn't be eating it?
I use flexible dieting, applied this way: 1-2+ veggies per day... 1-2+ fruits per day... 12-15g fiber per 1000kcal intake per day(or more for some ppl), and hit your macros that are geared towards your physique/performance goals. 80-90% foods you'd consider nutritious/whole... 10-20% whatever else that fits.
I just placed 6th place in Welterweight at the 2013 CBBF Nationals, my 4th competition, started in 2011. I was up against guys like Steve_D. My nutrition is working great for me.
