We are heading out next wknd to snag a few of our own...These guys just started running and he got the jump out there....Nice present to come home to...
Halibut and springs next wknd, with dungeness crab and prawns, so easy to catch, and godamn delicious.......

Beauty fish IW..we couldn't eat a Salmon that big down here in Lake Ontario, too polluted, I eat the smaller ones though. Sounds like they start running allot earlier out your way as well. Where abouts you fish'n?

Hey SR, long time bro!!...We are on the west side of Vancouver island, next stop Japan....These babies do a 5 yr run through the ocean, then make their way back home...We live on a spawn lake where literally hundreds of thousands of fish lay in wait in the freshwater lake to run up the rivers and creeks in Sept to lay their eggs...
CC and i took some vids of thousands of these guys in the lake in front of our house finning and jumping, it is an incredible sight...
This is a spring salmon, much larger than a sockeye, which are very delicious...

I am going to go with my brother in a couple weeks for Halibut, With a chartered group, for fun....I have friends that also do this every weekend on their own that i will learn the secret spots from..

Salmon, we just do on our own,It is pretty near impossible to not catch... I know some guys that do it on the side, and work on my crew...One guy is off for 6 weeks right now guiding...But i don't know any of the charters etc...
I would go to Ucluelet area, or bamfield for a charter....Better deals, and better areas....IMO..
