The legs on the right belong to German track springer Robert Förstemann.

Pretty crazy.

That is all.

3342033421The pic is a bit skewed or retouched....see below for actual real pics. Big legs but I trained with Curt Harnett Olympic Silver medalist and his legs were far bigger. The funny thing is what Curt actually told me one time...he said while he was in training early in his career and his legs were at there biggest around 30" or so....he went to Golds Gym in Santa Monica and Arnold was training legs at the time and he was embarrassed to stand next to Arnold because his legs were so good.

Sprinters whether it's cycling, track or speed skating etc all have great quads and hammies as well, as do female gymnasts.....

Great Olympian Curt was. I recall seeing an interview with him before the 1988 Olympics and he was shown squatting some serious weight. He racked about 6 or 7 plates and then said something like " I still have an upper body like a thirteen year old "
So was Curt saying that Arnold's legs were great or that he didn't want to embaarass Arnold with his own ? I read somewhere that the biggest Arnold's legs eveer got to was in 1973 when they were about 28.5 on stage. He did have very good legs back then. People forget that he suffered a significant injury that year and they were never quite as good.

Curt's reference was that Arnold's legs were so good he would be embarrassed to stand next to him. The idea being that many people thought Arnold's legs weren't that good but when you saw them in person it was a different story. I trained legs a number of times with Curt...he never went over 405lbs on the squat...but we did lunges with 315lbs.

Well that must say something about Curt and lunges.Anybody see that article about Korean American Jason Hu and his comments about lunges being his mass builder movement?

Ahh yes, I was thinking about the Ben Johnson video. In his spare time Curt was the vocalist for Van Halen. Not many people know this. 33427

Can't tell if this is 585 or 675. Not the greatest form but the guy was never more than 190lbs either. I stood next to him in a bar after the 1988 Seoul scandal and my guess was he was about 5'10" and around 200lbs back then , not in competitive shape but very wide shoulders. Probably was off the gear when I saw him. One of my heroes. He was a sacrificial lamb for steroids , so the IOC could say they cared. All the while Carl Lewis failed a number of tests leading up to the 1988 Olympics and Lynford Christie failed his test at Seoul as well. Lewis and Christie were both allowed to keep their medals. ****ing sad.

Interesting read. I found the ATP and AMP reference particularly interesting.

A true genius ahead of his time. Many of his training theories can be applied to BB and PL.
