Just a quick question here Prae,

Im putting my lean bulk diet together for mid August and I was wondering for a PostWO shake what carb source do you recommend to use? Waxy, Malto, Dex? Which carb source would be the better option and why? I keep reading conflicting reviews on all three. Some people say that Dex or Malt adds unwanted fat gain where as Waxy doesnt? While others say Waxy bloats them up a ton, while Malto and Dex don't? So Im just looking for your veteran input on the subject. Whichever carb source I add I will be looking to mix with 50gr isolate. One other quick question, since Im looking to stay fairly lean during the bulk would you suggest adding the the carb source with my shake only on Workout days, and then eliminating the carb source during not workout days?

Thanks,
Littlefry

I dont think it matters as much what source you use...its what feels ok for your gut...i find dex bloats me way too much...malto Im ok with and waxy is ok unless i go over 50g then i get the runs. Whatever you use the difference will be negligible with regards to muscular gains. The issue of most importance is amount. If you are looking to remain lean then yes do not have the carb source on non workout days. I would suggest 75g whey isolate plus 75g carb source plus 5g creatine mono PWO.

Do you think it would be ok to go with 50g whey isolate plus 50g carb source plus creatine to start, and than gage my progress for 3-4 weeks and than perhaps add 15-25g carbs in if needed? I will not use it on my non-workout days. Also since Im looking to keep this a relatively lean bulk would 3x 20min LISS cardio either postWO or in the morning on an empty stomach be ok to help keep the gains as lean as possible and for overall health?

Yes 50g isolate + 50g carbs + 5g creatine to start is fine. Eliminate it on non training days...and do 30min brisk walking only before breakfast usually on non training days if your schedule is 4 days per week in the gym. If you train 5 days per week do cardio on the two non training days and one additional cardio session say on arm day.
