Viewsat is pretty good. There are times when they take longer than others, but they're usually very quick.

viewsat is good, coolsat 7000 and over is decent..... nfusion you dont even need codes cause it fixes itself being hooked up to the interent

I like the Viewsat I have. I also like the Pansat I have but it is toast now. nFusion seems like the way to go if you don't mind hooking it up to the internet. If you are to get one at least get one that has a USB or card slot. Nothing worse than having to disconnect all the cables and bring the receiver to the computer to put on a new bin.

I agree Nfusion is solid. It seems like it's always up no matter how big the ECM.

I deal with dishnet systems (cards and atmegas) but every now and then I do a fta and the best has to be viewsat. Nfusion is new and looks like they might be the new leader this year.

I was talking to a guy today about a unit called the "Captain", he claims that it is IKS enabled so it never really goes down. Just like nFusion only HD.

Stay away from older coolsats now matter how cheap. I'll be replacing my CS6000 with a conaxsat duo. You might want to wait for the switch over to nagra 3, and see whos STBs are still working....

yes, definitely hold off on purchasing until nagra 3 [another week or so they say] and watch the boards for a solution... if memory serves it was half of a year before nagra 2 was broken for fta

nagra 3 is what they are calling the anticipated new ecm [electronic counter measure]. B3V is switching out all of their sub cards which is exactly what happened before they launched nagra 2. All cards are supposed to be swithed before this time next week so it's hard to say exactly when the ecm is coming but it's likely coming soon. It's all but certain that there will be a 'fix' to get everyone up and running but we might be waiting a long time and there is no guarantee that every stb will be able to handle the required changes.
wise to wait and follow the story on a good site like ftabins.net

I had this conversation with the maritime rep for Express-Vu earlier in the week. This card swap should be the end of FTA's for a few months at least. What they are going to start doing is frying the cards at the same time as dish network in the USA. What is happening now, when express-vu goes down, FTA owners just hop onto dish network and go back and forth. With the new system both will be going down together.
