Hey everyone I'm 22 years old and a pretty active hard gainer, I trained Karate for twelve years although stopped training as active about five years ago. I have really been pushing myself and researching proper nutrition and lifting. I'm tired of being that lanky dude that nobody believes is a black belt haha!

Currently 6'3 and 160lbs. Eating 4000+ cals a day, 180gr proteins, 10gr creatine mono, and really pushing for as many carbs as I can get into my body haha. No pops, no fast food, I find my diet is pretty clean. All food is made from scratch I do not eat processed pre packaged foods, Other than Tuna and a few others. Lots of water, lots of milk.

Thanks all, see you on the boards.

Welcome to the board. Your protein is really low for such a high number of calories only 18% from protein. I personally would increase it and make sure you getting lots of healthy fats as well, not just carbs.

Exactly...protein and fat should be your mainstays...carbs for energy. As someone who finds it difficult to gain weight you need calorie dense foods...ie peanut butter, whole milk (raw preferred) butter, whole eggs, red meat, salmon, plus would have cheat meals once, twice, or even three times weekly..ie pizza etc

Thanks for the input guys, Yeah I studied my diet and I noticed a few things were off and lacking as well. This is what I came up with and it seems to make a lot more sense for myself.

What I'm looking at here is,

Carbs: 395g Daily intake - Cals from carbs = 1575
Protein: 350g Daily intake - Cals from Proteins = 1400
Fats: 65g Daily intake - Cals fro Fats = 525

Totaling to 3500 Calories a day. I'll mess with this for a few weeks see how things go, I will be training about 5-6 hours a week. 3 days a week. Lots of compound exercises.
