Prae,

What are your thoughts of pasteurized dairy? In your opinion do they have a place in an optimal offseason diet? Obviously we cannot get raw milk short of wait-listing for a cowshare, and I would be first in line if it was available as it is in the states, but its not so I have been experimenting with what I think is the next best thing. I have been adding in a bit of organic grass-fed non-homogenized whole milk and yogurt into my diet lately. I do eat lower carb(100-150g/day), grain/gluten-free and fairy high-fat, so my concern is not only the pasteurization vs raw part of the equation, but also the carbohydrate content of these foods. Whats your take?

Thanks in advance

A local cheese company called Gorts Gouda sells it. They primarily make cheeses(some raw) but also sell their milk and yogurt. http://www.gortsgoudacheese.bc.ca/

Pasteurization basically destroys the "good" in dairy. Raw milk, butter etc are available in Ontario and there is no waiting list...PM me for details.
